NICK HENSLEY (VOCALS, HARMONICA, ACOUSTIC GUITAR, WHISTLES, TERRIBLE JOKES AND MOVIE QUOTES)
Nick Hensley is the former lead singer and co writer of The District, a regional act from the upper Midwest, based out of St. Paul, MN. He created Love Songs For Angry Men shortly after The District called it quits in 2003. The name, Love Songs For Angry Men, was born from the concept of other band names like the Bare Naked Ladies or Free Beer. In other words, a band name that would get people talking and through the doors. Now, six years later, it’s is the title of Hensley's first solo effort and still used as a general band name.
The full band, studio album was released on Valentine's Day, Saturday, February 14th 2009 to a sold out crowd at the Tiffany Lounge in Saint Paul, MN.
More than half the songs on the new album had been played at shows for years and even recorded live, but only as an acoustic duo (live double disc sets were released in 2005, 2006 and 2007). And to date, more than 10,000 of those live discs have been circulating throughout the Midwest. However, this full band, studio album was released through major distribution and will be backed by several mini Midwest tours in 2010.
Nick Hensley’s Love Songs For Angry Men have maintained a full schedule since 2003, averaging 3-4 nights a week and more than 200 shows a year. The band has shared the stage with National acts like: The Gear Daddies, The Samples, The Why Store, Wishbone Ash, Big Head Todd and The Monsters and countless others.
Nick resides in Saint Paul, MN with his wife and boxer, Wrigley Wigglesworth.

First, your page looks great - videos, background, etc...very impressive. Second, have you played Tom's Burned Down Cafe? Friends of mine (and sometimes me) go every summer. Third, your schedule ends on 3/17 and I want to know where you're playing the weekend of 3/20. I think that's it for now... Mindy
