Strak gekleed in maatpak van high-tech katoen, drijvend op een golf van wetenschappelijke revoluties die nu niet meer tot stilstand lijkt te komen, nog even en we zijn vergeten dat alle dieren gelijk zijn en dat de mens een dier is zoals alle andere. Belemmerd door onnodige manieren misschien, geremd door conventies en verwachtingen. Het opgevoede dier op de grens tussen wat moet en mag, wil en kan. ANGST is het resultaat van een zoektocht naar driften en instincten, twijfels en verlangens die de gestileerde 21st eeuwse mens weer dierlijk maken.
ANGST is een band die alle twijfels wegneemt om er andere in de plaats te zetten, verlangens wil bevredigen om er sterkere te zien ontstaan. Licht autistisch, sterk neurotisch, een band die twijfelt of hij wil of moet.
Stylish people in high-tech cotton suits, riding the neverending wave of the 21st century scientific revolution, it can't be long until we forget that all animals are alike and that we are but animals ourselves.
Maybe man is sligtly different, led by unnecessary manners, kept in order by convention and expectation. The educated animal balances on the thin line between things that have to be and can be done, thinking about what it wants to do and can do. Out of all instincts and drives, doubt and desire, comes ANGST, making the 21st century's styled man an animal once more.
ANGST is a band taking away all doubts, only to replace them by others. A band meeting with desire, to watch stronger needs emerge. Slightly autistic, strangely neurotic, a band in doubt of what it wants and needs to do.
