I perform solo and collaboratively with a range of outstanding artists.. You will regularly catch me with the Hairy Legged Lentil Eaters as well as a local fun band called "free beer" :) with Ian Bland on bass and Percy Van Staden on drums. I also perform with Cara Malan (the talented violinist) and a range of other artists as and when the situation presents itself.

Hey! - I've been involved in the music scene for over a decade now (makes me sound old hey?)... I was front man & lead guitarist for the Durban band "Stonedhenge" during the 90's and since then have performed with a variety of artists / bands at a range of venues and festivals throughout South Africa. Presently I am recording my solo album (I am about half way through completion) which it should be ready for release around end November this year (2007)... the mp3's I have posted are a few of the completed songs for inclusion in my debut album "TREE OF LIFE". What can you expect from my solo album? - a range of different musical genres.. I enjoy mixing and matching with the result that my solo album will be a combination of vocal and instrumental tracks. Genres include Blues, Jazz, Celtic, World Music, Folk Rock, Rock, Classical and all of this with an acoustic bias throughout!... sounds wierd hey??..but somehow it all seems to really work well! I have been recording in between working during the day (I am also a professional conservationist and in between gigging, spend my time trying to "save the earth";) and this makes for slower-than-hoped-for progress but thanks to my good friend Shane Crompton (who is a serious computer boffin and music lover), I am getting there steadily. I am doing 90% of the the instruments on the album (vocals, djembe & percussion, bass guitar, keyboards, acoustic guitars and incidentals) with my beautiful and talented girlfriend Cara Malan doing all the amazing violin parts + two great friends of mine from the Hairy Legged Lentil Eaters (Bessy and Brian) doing the odd dobra and banjo bit. So brace yourself for something quite different. Oh, and there are some relatively "normal" trax too that are a bit more accessible to the public. So thats the rundown on what to expect... THE OFFICIAL ALBUM LAUNCH WAS IN MARCH AT SPLASHY FEN 2008 and it was awesome!! One of songs was selected to be on the 2008 splashy CD (what an honour!). We also held an album launch in Newcastle and sold tons of CDs. If you are interested in getting one, mail me and we can discuss it further. Right now, they are only available at gigs but we are looking into a possible record deal... so watch this space! Furthermore :).. I am the person who promotes and arranges the successfull Newcastle Musicians Club in Northern KZN... We host live up & coming acts as well as established acts on a monthly basis. The turn-outs are always great and the support incredible so if you are a band / solo artist that wants exposure in a different part of SA, then contact me :)Okay, ive waffled enough! :)
Hey!! :) Really good to hear from you! I am so pleased it went well for you dood...but with such skill, grace and talent, how could it not ;) yeah! No, not planning any trips to SA at the moment (as much as I would love to come and visit you) so you will have to send it to me...I'll trade you, my new one for your new one. Mine is only released on the 20th so you'll have to wait for it I'm afraid. I'll email you my address asap and you can do the same as I know you moved a while ago and I dont think I have the new address. Keep up the great work bro and I'll speak to you again soon. :) D

Hi I am posting this comment because you are on my friend list.
I run my own free social network ( http://whatsup.everyvisitor.com/lars ) I always wanted to have my own social network on internet and have start it for fun. Now I named my social network whatsup.
It's basically all about where the party is meeting people, chatting, posting blogs, photos, videos and having fun. You can even start your own network and its free.

Thanks again for helping to get us in there, it went well, it was quite quiet when we played, but we got a good response and sold 19 CDs which I'm happy with. It was our first time, so hopefully Pedro gives us a better slot next time... See you around...
Fantastic that you signed up to Wicked Bands so here’s a bonus rock ballad welcome from one of my favourite bands, N.I.P.: www.wickedrock.co.za/free.mp3/N.I.P._Run.Away.From.Me.mp3. You'll find an Afrikaans track at myspace.com/thebandnip.
Please conquer My Space’s often plastic personality by commenting on the songs on our page.
