Angus is an Accordionist / Pianist / Writer & Producer from from Biggar, Scotland. He is perhaps best known for his work with fiddle player Ruaridh Campbell.
The duo have recorded two albums together; the latest 18 Months Later was named as one of Celtic Connections Classic Albums of 2007 and was awarded the Herald’s folk album of the year for 2006. Lyon is also a member of the accordion super group Box Club.
Over the last few year he has worked with some of the biggest names in the music business including Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens), Paul McCartney, Rick Nowels, John Goldie & Maartin Allcock.
As well as co producing both Lyon & Campbell albums he has also produced albums for Eilidh Grant and Findlay Napier & the Bar Room Mountaineers in the past 12 months at his own studio Grans House
