“It was an honest mistake!” Sounds familiar? Everyone has made a mistake at least once in their life. No one is excluded; it’s just how big a blunder has he or she done. Darren Teh is certainly NOT a mistake. An Honest Mistake is the brainchild of Darren Teh.
With pure honesty and heartfelt emotions about life and relationships, An Honest Mistake was birthed. Apart from playing bass guitar with Army of Three, this is a place where he picks up his acoustic guitar and puts himself in the shoes of many to let his mind wander, wonder and explore the different facets of life. He started writing 2 years ago and that has given him plenty of time to perfect his craft and finally allowing himself to break out into actually performing.
Having played countless Doppelganger gigs, what started off as a one-man-acoustic-act has now evolved into a full band with Eve Oh on vocals, Leonard Chua on electric guitar, Kevin Theng on drums, Rohnie Tan on violin and apprentice Joel Dass on bass. An Honest Mistake, the band, has played shows like the Indie Youth Fest, French Music Fest, UCSI Music Fest and the most recent Vogue for Virtue at Queensbay Mall, Penang and Moonshine at Laundry Bar The Curve.
An Honest Mistake’s single, ‘This Song Is So Random, I Don’t Know Why’ is due to hit the airwaves really soon, together with the release of the first An Honest Mistake t-shirt.
This 6 piece band promises to deliver high energy electrifying performances, one that would make you get out of your seat and dance to sing-a-longs and huge choruses. So, open up your minds and allow your dreams to be An Honest Mistake!
