“Night In Progress is a very good idea in that it provides an artist with a safety zone in which to try out new material. Rick has created a space wherein everyone remains quiet and seated and attentive and respectful and thus allows the artist to build up enough confidence to stumble their way through half-finished song ideas. It's all about feeling safe for the artist I think. And it works because you tell the audience beforehand to only expect new works so they don't show up and get mad that their favorite song of yours wasn't performed. That means, if you attend the show you are there in order to see new music. So the relationship between audience and artist in that bubble is quite symbiotic and honest and I think that is why it works.”- Val Emmich
"The Night In Progress series is wonderful. I like that it's about true, experimental and original music. It challenges the artists involved, which is kickass. It's more about art and less about bullshit." - Glen Burtnick
"I really echo what Glen said. The show provides a great incentive for us songwriters to put together our new material and helped me speed up the process of prepping for my next CD. It's also great to play for an audience that appreciates and is expecting not just original, but new original material!" - Bob Burger
"NIP is a scary, wonderful experience for songwriters, and for people in the local scene to share together. The Anniversary Show was such a blast. We were honored to be in the company of the area's finest songwriters. Hope to get to do it again soon!" - Alex Brumel and Janel Elizabeth
"Sometimes songs will kick around for months even years and not get finished for whatever reason. Many times there are magic in these songs. Night in progress is a way to give these songs the life they could deserve. Rick has done a great job getting some killer songwriters together to inspire and challenge each other.
But mostly it is like that dream where you are naked in your old high school and everyone is watching." - Dylan St. Clark
"I enjoyed it and am very appreciative--I never would have written a bunch of that material if it wasn't for the show." - Anthony D'Amato
A Night In Progress is a concept that was born off of a dare. Show host Rick Barry told me, “Scott Stamper came up to me one night and basically challenged me to do something off the top of my head, come up with totally new songs in a day and play them live in front of an audience. No rehearsals and no material from prior recordings. Well I did it and it worked well so I thought, why not invite some other artists to be part of this and give them a chance to challenge their writing abilities under a deadline?”
The Night In Progress show has grown in popularity, becoming a regular Saint feature, rolling out the chair and microphone just about every month and featuring both local as well a regional songsters all digging into their notebooks and memories for new bits and pieces to form music and word. The audience that comes to see these performers is intimately familiar with most of the artists and they come for a serious listen. John Pfeiffer, The Aquarian

THE ALL JERSEY RADIO MOVEMENT
THANKX 4 YOUR SUPPORT
The All Jersey Radio Movement has begun. We reached out to over 15,000 people Last month. The response has been great. Over 8,000 people worldwide tuned in to hear what Jersey has to offer. This may not seem like a lot of people but it’s a start. We want to keep these people & get more people coming back to All Jersey Radio so that we can provide more for New Jerseys talent & small businesses. If we build it they will come. Tell someone about All Jersey Radio & the movement. We can’t make this possible without you. Reach out to us & let us know your thoughts. We are currently planning events this year to keep the movement alive.
Welcome to our space Thanks for reaching out & the request
