Without it I cannot “be.” I have no choice but to honor it’s presence. As I my pave my way through this artist’s life, I will savor moments, narrating what I hold in my mind, body and soul. If I am able to touch even one person along the way, I’ve done my part in this blink of a life.”
The daughter of a classical conductor, Anika Paris spent her childhood traveling to whatever city dad's baton waved. Along the way, she got a great deal of stage experience performing in musicals and opera's through-out Europe and the United States while her dad conducted. Starting piano lessons at age seven, Paris was a quick self-starter. Though her musical career was born as a personal therapy during adolescence. "I was rather shy, and spent a lot of time in the piano room playing and writing songs for hours." By college Paris was playing in bands and performing in theater. In New York she played in the band Double Exposure with her brother, producer/writer/drummer Paul Peress. Coast-hopping to L.A., she met Dean Landon, the man who would eventually produce and co-write songs with her on her debut album and Anika landed a record deal!
