A mover and shaker, Czech born Ani Neradilkova, (also known as AniKiko), is feeling the heat back in Sydney. With her 2008 Prague Tour and very successful April 2009 Tokyo Tour behind her, Ani’s “Like No Other “ EP launch in July 2009 and the year of 2009 looks to be an exciting and promising time.
Songwriter/producer, Ani wanted to marry her love of beats, soulful vocals yet still have her favourite instruments the double bass and trumpet in the mix to be a warm bed for her poetry to lay in.
This “new” sound has been captured with the release of new EP “Like No Other”. It features the rawness of acoustic double bass and trumpet styling’s of Ani’s father, Jiri Neradilek, yet brings in edgy beats and atmospheric textures creating emotional landscapes for soulful and well thought out lyrics.
AniKiko’s performance and music “wraps you up in silk and drapes the sound of velvet right through your ears”, “leaves chills, chuckles and even tears”. “Its absolutely captivating!” as reported by audiences throughout.
Influenced by jazz greats & the latest electronic pioneers, AniKiko effortlessly pushes boundaries with its genre-bending style performing the latest tracks from the new EP as well as weaving in occasional favourite jazz standards with a playful Kiko edge. The AniKiko shows sees Ani performing flexibly with live musicians such as double bass, trumpet, guitar and performing vocal sets of AniKiko music with DJ’s.
Performances include Prague –Redutta Jazz Club, Tokyo-Japan Music Week Launch, Sydney Festivals, Peats Ridge 2007, 2008, Bondi winter and Summer festivals, International Harmony Film Festival, Piano bar, Opera Bar and being part of numerous compilation releases such as Opera Bar, Artichoke Cafe, Bondi Music Festival Artists, Mars Hill Cafe. Ani future is bright with secured co-writing/production relationships that will pave a long future in the music industry as she continues to push her song writing, performance and production skills while working with established and successful producers.
RELEASES-
AniKiko has released two EP’s and is set to start do a 3rd release "Like No Other" in July 2009.
EP Debut Release "Soul Naked Before You" opened the musical gateway to AniKiko in 2005.
Opening 2008 - which won many hearts of Sydney radio stations and festivals. Ani wanted to stay true to space and simplicity which is reflected in the latest “Opening” and features a very raw sound. This EP features Ani's father Jiri on trumpet and captures her favourite instrument, the double bass.

Mackenzie and Ricky are getting married in May. How have you been doing? We are going Saturday and start looking at dresses. They didn't give me much notice but thats Mackenzie, right? LOL Oh hey!
