Thanks for your friendship, and for helping animals.  If I am able to teach an Animal Communication workshop in your area, perhaps we could do some fundraising for your work.  I like to endorse and support local animal causes when I travel to teach.
    Warmly,
    Heidi

if you don't think elephants are as disposable as your garbage then please visit the link below and stop several zoos and Waste Management, Inc. from opening another ringling brothers like conservation center. this is simply a place for the worst of zoos to breed and train for the benefit of their exhibits. this must be done before the morning of jan 26th so you have to move quick! if you don't think elephants are zoo trash speak out and be their voice NOW! just click or copy and paste the link to stop this horrible crime against elephants! and if you hate the abuse that ringling brothers inflicts on their animals and our childrens minds and hearts, boycott anything involving feld entertainment!

About me:

.. For up-to-date information on Animal Acres please visit our Web Site.

.. Animal Acres is a farmed animal sanctuary and compassionate living center located just 45 minutes from Los Angeles.

Animal Acres works to promote compassionate living through its farmed animal rescue & refuge efforts, public education & outreach, and advocacy projects to prevent cruelty to farmed animals.

Over 150 rescued farmed animals call Animal Acres "Home Sweet Home" and we invite YOU to become a member of our sanctuary family too! Animal Acres is a volunteer-based organization and we are funded entirely by dedicated animal advocates. You can help by------

Pitching in at the next Saturday Volunteer Farm Chore Day, feeding a rescued farmed animal through our Adopt-a-Farmed Animal Project, or by having a Barn Stall in your name by becoming a member of our Gandhi Society.

Animal Acres was founded by Lorri Bauston, who is considered the “pioneer” of the farmed animal sanctuary movement. In 1986, Lorri co-founded Farm Sanctuary, which opened the country’s first shelter for farmed animals. For 18 years, she directed the group’s shelter and fundraising efforts.

Through her farm animal sanctuary efforts, Lorri has directly saved thousands of animals from the cruelties of factory farms, stockyards and slaughterhouses, and brought national attention to the plight of animals used for “food production.”

REMEMBERING HOPE

Dear Dedicated Animal Acres Volunteers & MySpace friends,

We are writing with very sad news. Our sweet friend Hope passed away last week, after one of the most valiant efforts I have ever seen an animal make. As many of you know, Hope was rescued on February 16th from a foreclosed house. We found her on her side, struggling and unable to stand. She was severely emaciated, and her hooves were several inches overgrown – probably the reason she was unable to stand and get to food or water. It is amazing she survived – and even more amazing that the day after she arrived at Animal Acres, she gave birth to a healthy baby girl. Unfortunately, Hope gave everything for her baby – and it took every last ounce of strength she had. Though we were hopeful her voracious appetite and courage would help her, she never was able to stand after giving birth. She died quietly and comfortably in our arms, surrounded by people who loved her. Her baby, Faith, continues to grow stronger everyday – and though she stopped eating for a day after her mother died – she is back to eating delicious bowls of grain and drinking warm bottles of milk. Faith is comforted by her buddies Baby and Snuggles, two rescued lambs and loving volunteers and caregivers.

We know that many of you worked by our sides, to do everything possible to save Hope. Many of you came to help us give Hope hydrotherapy. Other people lent their acupuncture skills, or help us do her other rehabilitation. And of course, dozens of volunteers helped with the endless blanket washings and barn cleanings. We know you loved her as we do, and we wanted to let you know we are holding a special MEMORIAL for Hope this Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in our sanctuary courtyard. We hope you will join us, and THANK YOU sharing your hope and love with us at this difficult time.

Below is the video from when darling Hope was rescued.
