ANIMAL GRACE is an original rock/blues band based out of Springfield, Ohio. The band was which formed in early 1988 by guitarist and lead vocalist Tony Powell. Over the past ten years the band has undergone several member changes but has always remained committed to quality Rock & Roll. The band attributes its longevity to remaining diverse and creative, and having a deep desire to entertain.
ANIMAL GRACE has performed throughout the midwest, including clubs in Michigan, Kentucky, Illinios, Indiana, and most of Ohio. Their live performances are based on superb musicianship, focused intensity and a hunger to please the crowd.
ANIMAL GRACE'S original music, in recent years, has been played on local radio stations in the Dayton area such as WXEG 103.9 "THE X" and WWSU 106.9 Wright St. University as well as the now defunct WING FMs (102.9FM) Local Music show and special Christmas edition. The band's music has generated quite an interest stateside and abroad. We have had inquiries as far away as Holland, Sweden, Wales, Norway, Denmark, and Italy. Our music in its early creation, had received radio airplay on WING (formerly WAZU) 102.9 FM in Dayton, Ohio, WYSO 91.3 FM in Fairborn, Ohio, and several college stations in the southwestern Ohio region. In addition, they have had the opportunity to "open" for national recording artists Luxx in 2000 as well as Hurricane, Baton Rouge, Lord Tracy, and Danger Danger in the late 80's and early 90's.
ANIMAL GRACE released its debut CD Finally in August 1999. They released their second CD titled Act Of God in June of 2001 and it proves to be the key accomplishment for each member. The recording and final mastering were a true test of the band's stamina. Act Of God was also nominated for ALBUM OF THE YEAR in 2002 by The H.M.D. Music Resource Guide at www.TheHMD.com.
AG...3 was released near the end of 2004 and proves once again that the band is a major force to be reckoned with!
Tony has also been named GUITARIST OF THE YEAR on TheHMD.com both in 2002 and 2003. Mark was listed as RHYTHM GUITARIST OF THE YEAR on TheHMD.com site in 2003. AG...3 has been nominated for Album Of The Year in 2004 as well on the site.
Animal Grace is currently working on their 4th CD to be released sometime in 2010.
The band has a link on the main index page for purchasing CDs, T-shirts, and bumper stickers as well as a group mailing list via YahooGroups and much more on www.AnimalGrace.com

Hi Guys...not sure how many of you will remember me, but I certainly will NEVER forget you! Im gonna bet Tony, Denny and Todd do, especially you Todd. And Pete lives near me (cincinnati) now so we see each other here and there. Pete and I both went to Northeastern High School together. Him and I are in the Cincinnati music world. Of course you know he is in the band Sidewinder, and I own a music production/promotion company.
But anyway, I used to be Lynn Haire in school, and later Lynn Woods! And man did Animal Grace rock my world! So good to find you out here!

IT WAS AWESOME! Great to be back in the saddle again, in the best metal band around. Nice to give folks a glimpse of what was. Thanks for the opportunity to pound some skulls in! Does your head still hurt? GOOD! ;-)
Tony, thanks again for putting this together. I know it was a freaking nightmare, but it was well worth the animal sacrifices you were telling me about. ;-) For me, I had a blast performing with the best band I have ever had the pleasure of driving, once again. It felt just like old times, with a few things left out (for the better). The current band sounds great, and I know the next CD will be spectacular. Watch out for the BP's!
