All consumers have the right to know how their product reaches the shop-shelf, and past surveys have shown that people would be less likely to buy products if they explicitly state that they/their ingredients HAVE been tested on animals. We are campaigning in order to raise awareness of the extent of animal testing, in order to enable consumers to make more informed decisions with regards to the products they buy. So we want the British Government to force companies that test their products or ingredients on animals to clearly state this on their packaging.
So far there are approx 428 signatures and the deadline is 10th April 2008
Please for the sake of millions of animals take a few minutes of your time to sign the petetion & if you have more time pass onto as many people as possible, we really need 2 put pressure on the government. Many people aren't aware of the tests conducted on animals for their products, and it would surely put a huge number of consumers off, forcing companies to test in other ways.

JJ along with many of the others were arrested for conspiracy to blackmail Huntingdon Life Sciences and the companies who deal with HLS. Three of the activists arrested that day were remanded in prison and are still there to this date awaiting their trial along with a few of the others on bail in September of this year. A few of the other activsts including JJ have been on bail since May last year without charge. But as of today March 19, most of the remaining activists including JJ were charged with conspiracy to blackmail amongst other charges. A trial shall be held for them early next year.
The arrests in May last year were part of a two year investigation by various police forces around the UK which included phone tapping, surveillance and covert operations by the police. Sixteen people have now been charged the rest were released without charge. All of the people charged if found guilty face prison sentences and some of them very long prison sentences.
The ones not remanded have the following bail conditions; :Not allowed to contact each other :They must live and sleep at their home addresses. :Surrender their passport :Not allowed to orgainize or take part in any AR demos in the UK or abroad. :Not allowed to contact HLS, its workers or any companies involved with HLS. :Not allowed to post any info on any A
