Announcing Internships in Southern Africa ..................
Have you ever looked at a map of the world and wished to discover anywhere that is more then a fingers length from home? ..............
Ever desired to immerse yourself totally in another culture, working with those trying to make a difference shoulder to shoulder. ..................
Do Zulu beads, Ndebele dolls, Baobab Trees, Giraffe or Elephants catch your attention? .................
Do you believe in giving a Hand Up not Hand Outs? To give assistance where so many others would never think to go? ...................
The opportunities offered by Anir Experience are only just the beginning ...............
How about helping to fulfill the creation of Peace Gardens, to feed those affected by the HIV pandemic in Southern Africa. ................
Or teaching Math and English to 4th – 8th graders in a tiny community in Zambia. ...............
Have an interest in Health Care and Nursing. Why not spend the summer at the Red Cross Children’s Hospital, the largest Children’s hospital on the continent of Africa. ..................
Or join “Gone Rural” in helping women earn their own income by producing and selling their native crafts. ..............
Maybe “CATCH” sounds exciting, they help get children 6-16, who have been orphaned by AIDS, off the streets.......... ...........
Anir Experience is a grassroots NGO of the Anir Foundation, a non-profit (501c3). Our goal is to provide adults with positive, safe and exciting internship opportunities in Southern Africa (Botswana, Lesotho, Madagascar, South Africa, Swaziland and Zambia). Since 1997 we have helped students, professors, individuals and small groups not only learn about but explore and Experience Southern Africa hands on. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

About me: Anir Experience and the Anir Foundation a (501c3) non-profit were founded by Adrienne Belafonte Biesemeyer along with her daughter Rachel Blue in 1997. After having recently traveled to South Africa, Adrienne wanted to help other North Americans to see and experience the beauty and wonder she had discovered there.
Then News broke about the HIV/AIDS pandemic in southern Africa and they new they had to help. Lots of organization give $$ to people in need. But few give man power and a chance to make a difference with your own two hands. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So here is the Anir Experience..............
Working with other organizations such as
Habitat for Humanity International, the Red Cross Children's Hospital, Gone Rural and CATCH: Anir Experience and Project to Project create opportunities for North Americans to travel to southern Africa for internships or to work on group projects. You could go for 2 weeks or 2 months, it's all based on what you would like to do. For more information and to see a list of upcoming projects and internship opportunities or to make a DONATION check out our website at **** anirexperience.org

Who I'd like to meet: Anyone who wants to explore the world........

We, the Baobab Family, run a house for homeless orphans in Mikidani, a suburb of Mombasa, Kenya. Recently we started a hiv-awareness & care programm in kenya couse we cannot stand aside and just look on how the people are dying and more and more orphans are forced to live on the streets of Africa.
If you are interested in our work please take the time to have a look at the "Forthcoming targets" page on our website (http://baobab-family-project.org/index.php?id=1&L=1).
