Music is extremely important to me. I like to surround myself with a rich soundtrack of music to fit every mood. I like everything from opera and classical to alternative. My appreciation for country is very limited, but I do like some country songs. I love all genres of movies, from foreign films to comedies. There's just something really special about sitting in a dark room watching a story unfold before your eyes. Being a writer, there's only one thing I enjoy more than writing my own stories, and that's reading other people's stories! I mostly read fiction, although a good biography is great as well. Favorite genres are mystery, psychological thriller, satire, fantasy and chick lit (for those lazy days at the beach.) I love the classics as well. The language is beautiful and the stories are.. well.. classic! Hey I won my first scholarship! It was for $1,000. It was an audio essay about how our veteran's service and sacrifices benefit our youth today. I won first place out of 8 people in the county. Now i'm waiting to see if I won in the state, which that will be for $16,00. Then if I win that I wait for the national result, which that one is for $30,000. I'm so excited!!
