Anita, a native of Brisbane, Australia, has been living in Brussels since 2000. Her whirlwind European adventure started by surprise when she was sent to Brussels from Sydney via San Francisco on a work trip.
At the time she was a computer nerd by day (before it was cool to be one), and was performing with her girl pop/trash band at night and on weekends. Never one to turn down a lifestyle change, (and the endless travel/shopping/partying/city-hopping possibilities away from home) she decided on a whim to stay for 'just another month' which is how she ended up still living it up on the continent today.
Her outgoing nature, unique style, and love of performing slowly translated into her working as the full time TV presenter she is today. You can watch her on TVBrussel each Sunday night in Brussels International (in English) visiting the city's hotspots. Or catch her on VWEscape TV's online magazine (in French and English) talking about everything from the latest computer games to interviewing the hottest local and international artists.
2007 saw Anita release her very first album, a sexy pop-electro album where she sings about everything cyber and pop, from joysticks to girlpower. The first single was voted the official hit of the Belgian Lesbian & Gay Pride and saw her perform as the evening's 'princess' to an extremely appreciative and fun audience. She has performed live music shows in Belgium for several years including at some of the biggest venues: Vooruit (Gent), the Ancienne Belgique, The Botanique (Brussels) and at the celebrated Dour festival. She has also been known to sing cover songs when it is absolutely and positively the perfect occasion to do so, for example when she wowed the crowd with Gina G's 90s hit 'Ooh Aah Just a Little Bit' at the 12points Eurovision party in Antwerp.
Anita's catchy music and unique profile was quickly picked up by TV and radio, and was featured in many magazines. To name a few: JimTV, MCM, PlugTV, FUN RADIO, PureFM, La Premier, Elle Belgïe, FHM, Le Soir, Flair, Lou and Pulp...
However fun it is to act the 'pop diva', Anita loves nothing more than a good cup of Ceylon tea, chatting endlessly about 'everything and nothing' with friends, and watching classic diva anthems on youtube. Her current listening obsession is Donna Summer's 1970s performance of 'A Song For You'. She is also secretly hoping that NKOTB (New Kids on the Block) will reunite. After all, who isn't?

My main goal is to appear and perform my original poem, "Half Hearted," on The Ellen Degeneres Show. I've been working on this goal for 2 years, and I can't give up.
