Anitra was born in Monroe, Louisiana. Her father was a Baptist
Minister, and her mother was both a homemaker and in the workforce. Anitra, who is the fourth child, recalls singing with
her three older sisters. Their father would teach them to
harmonize, as he proudly listened to their melodious voices.
The pendulum is falling and Anitra is ready to strut her stuff.
"I know that I was born to sing," Anitra says of her exceptional
talent. "I've tried to do other things but God's will and destiny for me have always brought me back to my true purpose, entertaining." And a great performer she is. Having thrilled audiences over and over with her rich and melodious voice, this Los Angeles Songstress is no newcomer to performing.
Anitra has worked with such artists as Mary J. Blige, Pattie Lablle, Rick James, Tina Marie, Jerry Butler, etc.
