Bio
Anja-Natascha Wilczek was born in Munich, Germany to singer/songwriter, and T.V. host Suzanne Bell Doucet and actor Raphael Wilczek. As the daughter of a famous singer, Natascha discovered her musical talents at a very early age. Natascha started singing on stage in Germany with her mother as early as 3 years old. In 1983, Natascha’s mother decided to move to Los Angeles to establish her record label in California and to promote New Age Music. In junior high and high school Natascha’s writing talents emerged and she began to write poetry and plays. Her passion for writing and music also lead her to songwriting. Natascha attended several performing arts schools where she was able to express and nurture her talents. Natascha began to perform in musical theatre and was the lead in a play with Leonardo Decaprio. Natascha moved to Northern C.A. for several years and worked with master percussionist and shaman Tajalli. Tajalli introduced her to the world of indigenous, native and tribal music. Tajalli became her mentor and her greatest influence in her quest for the fusion between music and spirituality. At a great turning point in her life she was initiated into the sacred sound current by her long time friend and spiritual teacher, well known new age direridoo player "PARADISO". Natascha began her journey on a spiritual path through music and yearned to incorporate her musical talents in a spiritual way. She began to study and practice the sacred art of chant. Natascha is an initiate of Hindu mantra chanting and is studying the sacred art of overtone chanting with master instrument maker and overtone chanter Johnathan Glasier. After the direct experience of the power of the voice to heal herself and others, she has begun her vision of combining multi-cultural improvisational singing and chanting with world and ambient music. Natascha is also a published song writer with BMI. In 2002, Natascha wrote a song for a European multi-platinum artist, Gil Ofarim. The track called “It Isn’t Me”, was released on Gil’s CD “On My Own” with Sony records. Natascha went on to work with Russian singing duo TATU, along with Australian music producer Marz Lazar. In 2007, Natascha studied electronic music production at The School of Audio Engineering in Hollywood. She plays keyboards and has a long time love and passion for the hand drum and its power to heal people. Natascha is currently working on producing her own music and is working closely with several new age artists to bring together her vision of world and ambient music for healing. Natascha plans to release a chanting CD in this year. Natascha’s vision with her own music is to share the healing power of chant and sound, in hopes that it can bring peace to our individual consciousness and to our planet. “Chant is the music of the cosmic spheres and the natural expression of our own consciousness. Chant is an important tool used by people everywhere for centuries to heal their bodies, quiet their minds, and to connect with the divine. Chant unifies and brings people together in thought, intention and most importantly LOVE” says Natascha. ............ ....Myspace Layouts.. at Pimp-My-Profile.com / ..Black and Gray.. / ..Comments.. .. ........ -

Influences
It all begins with the breath....the voice, chant and life itself. Meditation and prayer are the main influences of my music. When connecting with the divine spirit openheartedly, I ask that my body become an instrument of cosmic sound. I become an open channel of divine light, using my voice to invoke the intangible realms of spirit. "O musician of my soul, play His song...... play his song with my every breath." -RUMI -

“Wild Wild Rose.”<<<
“Beautiful, courageous, tenacious, vivacious<<<
Strong, enduring, tough, surviving the sun the rain<<<
The wind takes your petals, your whole remains<<<
Fragrant, the scent of your aroma is nature’s persona<<<
Seduces me<<<
Sets me free.<<<
Adoration, temptation to pick you for my flower arrangement<<<
As I gently grasp your stem there’s no escaping the sharp<<<
Momentary pain of the thorns that pierce my hand<<<
Blood trickles down my fingers across my palm,<<<
Warm, calm, serene, cleansing my body, my soul to heal.<<<
A warning to never presume<<<
Don’t ever suppose<<<
You can tame this gracious floral Tigress<<<
Wild Wild Rose.”<<<
Dedicated to Janis Joplin.(January 19, 1943 – October 4, 1970) and Billie Holiday. April 7, 1915 – July 17, 1959).RIP. God Bless.
