About ANJELIINA

HISTORY
With cleverly constructed harmonies and acoustic soundscapes, Anjeliina's powerful sound draws influences primarily from melodic rock/heavy metal and acoustic music.

THE PAST

In July 2007 Anjeliina played their debut gig at the Annandale Hotel, scoring the Saturday night headlining slot and sold the place out. Their follow up gig was at Bar Broadway supporting Ink (ex Jerk) on their ‘Lead…or Follow’ national tour. This Early interest was sparked from Anjeliina’s demo recordings being available for free download online.

In November 07 Anjeliina won the Tony Mott Musicoz award and was also nominated for best metal band. The event took place at The Enmore Theatre in which the ceremony and interviews were broadcasted nationally on Channel V

The band spent the next few months writing and recording intensely during which time Ali (ex-vocals) decided to leave in order to pursue her own musical vision.

With continous writing and refinement of the band's sound throughout 2008, it was decided a third guitarist would be needed.
Mike (ex-bass) moved to guitar and Corey a long time friend of the band was asked to join.

THE PRESENT

Having achieved the musical vision they were originally going for, the band soon after got in contact with Eliza.

Her powerful rock voice was exactly what the band was after and it is now finally that Anjeliina is complete and ready to move forward with full force to the next level.

THE FUTURE

New recordings will be posted here soon, followed by a debut EP release and many live performances to follow.

I left after the Testament concert, went home, 1am, got up 4am, left to Sydney airport at 5am, flew to Tokyo at 9am. Went to Los Angeles, and now, im all the way up here in Metal City Montreal. You guys NEED to play here one day, the crowds are the best here. Nothing like rest of Canada or USA.
