"Sometimes, the things that grab you most about an album don't
register until the second, third or fourth listen. Sometimes, it's a
sneaky kind of slow wonder that settles into your bones, that feeling
of "something here is incredibly right." Anjuli Dawn and her disc,
"Give" possess that kind of subtlety and care. While some may try to
boil it down simply to the female folk rock genre, there is a
distinctive, incessant and driving determination to her songs, a kind
of resilient emotionality that quietly insists on being heard that
gives her music an additional dimension of meaning and appeal. So,
even though there is more than immediately meets the ear here, if
female folk rock appeals to you in the slightest, this is an album to
spend time with." -CD BABY
Here is a give magnet:
You can have it and stick it places for $1.50.
buy the cd now and we will send it to you... or you can
buy it now digitally and we will email the mp3s to you! Sweet!
I am super excited about this cd. It is almost satisfying enough for me to really feel like I have created something I love - that is almost enough to make all my hard work worthwhile. But, really, if you take it home with you, and you enjoy it too, I will be exponentially more joyful. This cd is a fundraiser for an organization that works to end world hunger. $1.50 from each purchase you make goes directly to this cause. Thank you so much for your help.
No problem Anjuli. People generally have many things on their minds, I don't expect anybody to just drop everything they're doing. You know? If you feel inclined though, you can check out the playlist in which you appeared here. Hope you're oh so well me dear.
Anjuli, here's a reminder (unless of course I never passed this along in the first place): I'm playing a number of yours on my show tonight, Monday the 24th. Go to gtownradio.com and click "listen" between 6 and 8pm (but do it earlier if you want to hear your number, it'll be towards the beginning of the program). Tell everyone you've ever met. Hope you're oh so well.
Anjuli, I'm going to be playing a tune of yours on my new internet radio program this Monday (the 24th). If you want to experience the gratification, go to gtownradio.com and click "listen" in the upper right hand corner. My show's called Fewsh, and it takes place between 6 and 8 pm every Monday.
Hope you are well me dear. It's been a few hundred whiles.
Thanks for the add. Love those baby picts you posted, make me feel old though. Seems like yesterday that your Mom and Dad had to leave my wedding reception to get home to the new baby. As Ferris Bueller put it so well, "Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and take a look around once in a while, you could miss it."
I miss you so much..... Being on tour without you is not the same.. I hope youre having a wonderful summer, and I wish to see you soon... maybe!!! xxxxlovelovelove
Hey Anjuli, it's Claire! Hmm, I'm not really a myspace gal so I hope I'm posting this right lol :-) Grand Bend was a ton of fun this summer and I had a great time hangin with you! I hope everything is going well for you and I can't wait to see you again, hopefully sometime soon! Claire :-)
Holy smokes Anjuli I miss your guts. Your hair is still hanging around these parts which is okay by me. I pass by it multiple times everyday, it forces me to smile. It'll be a terribly sad day when someone discovers the hair and tosses it out.
I hope the Asheville gig went well. I'll say it again, you are missed pal. c ya
Hey! Everybody up here sucks if you arent a cover band, sorry I never got back to you on anything till now. Busy busy busy! Gettin ready for the move to LA and working on a lil ol rock project AND a new Commandment inspired hip hop project. Should ruffle a few feathers! Hope you continue to find yourself talented and beautiful!
