Anke Keitel is an engaging and talented artist – a singer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and actress. .... As a child Anke studied violin, piano and flute. Later, she took up playing the guitar and writing her own songs before studying Music and Media at the University of Sussex in Brighton and continuing her piano lessons at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. .... Since finishing her studies, Anke has worked as a musician, singer, performer and trainer with numerous theatre and music projects. This has included community theatre, theatre in schools and businesses, improvisation theatre and, as part of her Masters in Theatre and Media for Development, a project in Bangladesh with street and working children. .... Raised to believe in the essential unity of humanity Anke took it upon herself to travel widely and discover for herself the uniqueness of the world, from Morocco to Poland, from Finland to Malaysia. Anke has lived in Germany, England, Bangladesh and Australia and as the daughter of an Australian mother and a German father feels comfortable in both languages. She prefers to sing in English. Wherever she goes, Anke is fascinated by communication through melody, words and rhythm. .... Anke's quirky and lively but also reflective personality are portrayed in her musical performance and create her own unique style combining her voice with acoustic instruments and popular beats. Her music is influenced by the joy of connecting people to each other through music as well as connecting herself and people around her to their own higher nature. .... Anke has performed in numerous varied settings, including weddings, birthdays, conferences, German corporate events, clubs in Brighton and London and various Frankfurt venues. .... Since June 2008 Anke has been part of the label ....Leib und Seele Musikproduktion.... (Body and Soul Music Production) and is currently working on her debut album. .... .. ..
