The 100 year old farm house I grew up in was my introduction to all worlds; the past, the present, and the future. My loving parents had no explanation for the elderly lady I saw in my room that wasn’t real. Nor could they explain my description of a fire that occurred in our home in the 1930’s, resulting in the kitchen being expanded. In fact, they were bothered that I had so many details about past events that I couldn’t have possibly known. They couldn’t offer a rationale explanation to me when I asked, “Why do I know these things things?” The farm was sold at auction in 1985. I returned once, longing for the comfort my friend (our house) had given me. However, new owners had changed it all and it was no longer our family’s.
I was the first of my family to finish college. Farmers of the old day didn't even finish grade school, so college was a big deal for our family. While finishing college I also went to school to become a paramedic. I also became a radiology technologist/CT/Special Procedures tech and a paramedic/firefighter. I was growing more and more tired of the harsh Michigan weather due to worsening auto immune issues. So I packed up everything and moved alone to Washington state. I bought a home in Spokane, WA at age 25. While in Washington I progressed from a beginner adult figure skater to double jumps winning competitions. I retired from ambulance work to pursue my career in radiology specializing in interventional angiography. Now I've landed in sunny California and married my husband Dave Bender.
I continue to help people using my gifts of sight to help and guide people both living and not. No, I never charge for what I do. But just because that’s my belief, doesn’t mean I judge another for doing so. There are a few very talented and gifted people that do happen to make their living by using what they see. My specialty stems from my childhood and that’s working with children. I respect and use any client’s beliefs without judging. This is why Dave and American Paranormal Investigations is a fabulous fit for me. When I’m not helping others or figure skating, you can find me with out in the wilderness fishing or hiking with a camera in hand. I find tremendous peace in nature and doing beadwork. I balance an appreciation for simple pleasures in life with a tremendous wild side and joy of visiting new, exotic places.

For each new morning with its light, For rest and shelter of the night, For health and food, for love and friends, For everything Thy goodness sends. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us. ~ Albert Schweitzer
"In Flanders fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below
We are the dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved, and were loved, and now we lie In Flanders fields." - Colonel John McRae, In Flanders Fields November 11th - Veteran's Day in America, Armistice Day, 1918, Remembered
