    Jeez. Honestly, I enjoy lots of different kinds of music. Melody, harmony, interesting vocal stylings, classic themes in the lyrics. The good stuff. Not the angry stuff (unless it's politically angry like The Thermals.) Not the screechy, skwaky, bleepy bloopy stuff. Old stuff is GOOD. Hawaiian music? Awesome. Tiki lounge stuff? Ooh yeah, that's smooth. Also, this

  • Movies

    Pretty much every movie I've seen in the past few months has been a disappointment. Documentaries are good, "Meet the Friedmans" "Grey Gardens" quirky stuff with a dark side. I don't like on-screen violence and that has kept me from a lot of movies. (like...um...I've never seen Pulp Fiction. There, I admitted it.) True faves, off the top of my head, include Swingers, Dazed and Confused, Rushmore, Reality Bites (Yeah...so what of it!?) Grease, Grease 2 (Yeah, so what of it!?) If A Man Answers, Subway, Tapeheads, Head, Sense and Sensibility, That Thing You Do, Butterfield 8, Babydoll, The General,

  • Television

    No cable, so I'm limited. "30 Rock" has made me laugh, though. And "Arrested Development" always.

  • Books

    read the Steve Martin autobiography recently, awesomeness. Currently reading a Harry Houdini biography. Yeah, I like biographies. Am reading a lot about food, health, food production, veganism. Lord knows why. . .

  • Heroes

    I hope to someday be my own hero. Until then, my grandma Solveig will have to do.
