Anna Harwood's musical journey all began practically the day she could speak! As soon as Anna took her first musical class in her public school, she new she was hooked. Elementary school was just another start in Anna's career. She accomplished making the honors chorus class and loved to experiment with all kinds of different instruments, and when it came to solo's, Anna was first in line. During her elementary years is also when Anna became involved in musical theaters. Scoring leading rolls, and impressing the crowd with her powerful voice. Anna loved being in the spotlight and ever since her first performance, she knew the stage is where she belonged.
Once into middle school, Anna's parents finally decided that she needed to take voice lessons to help strengthen and mature her voice. Jan Smith Studio's was the picked location that they decided would be best. Knowing that Jan Smith was an extremely well known and highly respected woman throught the music buisness. With in just a few months Anna's parents could see and hear the changes in their daughters growing voice. Picking up the skills of the guitar was only another great investment in Anna's talent.
Anna has always enjoyed playing different instruments, but it wasn't until Anna picked up the guitar that she knew she'd found what she needed. Soon after taking a few lessons with Peter Vogl, from Jan Smith Studios, Anna started writing her own songs. Soon after that Anna joined the Georgia Country Music and Gospel Associations, GCGMA. Anna was an instant hit with her catchy lyrics and relaxful tunes, and the fact that she was a natural entertainer just made her more attractive to the crowds. GCGMA awarded Anna with the Best female vocalist of the year,Best female entertainer of the year;Best female songwriter of the year; 2009 NACMAI Female Vocalist Of The Year; 2009 NACMAI Rising Star Songwriter Of The Year; 2009 NACMAI Most Promising Female Entertainer Of The Year.
