Kollsveine: Slipknot, Nile, Pink Floyd, The Doors, The Cure, Disturbed, Ozzy Osbourne, Kittie, Rob Zombie, The metal bands of the 1980's, Rammstein, Smashing Pumpkins, Velvet Acid Christ, Type O Negative, and all the heart ache and discrimination I have endured without falling to my knees.
Arum: Kittie, Kill Hannah, Black Dahlia, Finch, Korn, MCR, The Used, PJ Harvey, Perfect Circle, Disturbed, SOAD, the voices in my head, my beautiful friend Candace, and daily teen life struggles.
Carrion: Alkaline Trio, Cradle of Filth, Dysorder (my drum instructers band), Korn, Slipknot, Dimmu Borgir, The Used, Type O Negative, My Chem, The Bronx, and every morning that I wake up with some new idea in my head for a song or a drum part.
Sounds Like
Kollsveine: We are a sound all our own, and seeing as we have not yet finished any songs we are not ready to be classified. I would have to say I want to be Industrial Gothic, Darkwave, and/ or Death Metal.
Arum: I think that we definately sound different from other bands. I really want a female vocalist, because not many bands have females in the band. I think we sound really confident even though we are still starting out. Yeppers.
Carrion: I think we have some Type O-like songs... But I prefer not to put a lable on us.
Kollsveine: Annihilatus started out several years ago as a little band called Raising Kayne. It consisted of 3 members, none of us knowing how to play an instrument, but we did write a few songs. The concept of Raising Kayne slowly faded along with the commitment of the members. With most people if they aren't selling out shows by Sunday then they call it quits. I actually picked up the bass a year ago and have gone through 3 line ups of members. I met Carrion in the school year and requested his services. He humbely accepted. He later scouted out the untapped potential known as Arum. Now we are practicing every week and making fantastic progress.
Arum:I was talking to Carrion in Jewelry class one day and I mentioned that I played guitar. He asked me if I wanted to be in his bad with Kollsveine and I said yes, so... I am the guitarist. Yippy!!!
Carrion: We are the band you're going to hear, and you're going to listen to and love, you'll just never understand why. We are not to be understood, we are not to be labled, we are Annahillatus, and that's the most you'll ever say.
