Lotte Kestner is a solo project, born during a bit of down time. Most often I am in the studio or on the road with Trespassers William. China Mountain (named after a mountain range in southern Oregon) was recorded over a year in my basement bedroom, and mixed in a Seattle studio with my Trespassers bandmate Matt Brown. Most of the songs are built around acoustic guitar and several tracks of voice, and I play a bit of harmonica, keys, drums, ukulele, and harp. I was assisted on a few songs by friends - including Jeff Martin of Idaho on two of the album's tracks.
I have recently returned from Marfa, TX, a beautiful small town where I tracked a whole album in 28 days with the great musician Robert Gomez. That project is called Ormonde and now has it's own page as well, where you can hear 4 of the new songs. xo

the sound quality of "stolen" has such a timeless sense about it ... The whole song is beautifully done! It reminded of when I was twelve, when everything is a little pink and lovely, like an old french movie!! Thank you for sharing it!!
