About me:
Founded by Ghanaian born G. Kofi Annan, Annansi Clothing Co. is in the business of Making Africa POP! Each season the collection pushes the boundaries of traditional African style by fashionably representing its icons, art and culture. Our clothing is a statement of who we are, where we come from, and what we represent.
Already popularized by Senegalese-born singer Akon, and with customers from Australia to Brazil the Annansi Clothing Co. brand has begun to redefine the image of Africa. With a recent nomination for a Rising Star Award by the Fashion Group International, appearances on VH1 and BET and in i-D Magazine, as well as participation in the 2005 American Music Awards, Annansi Clothing Co.'s garments have become synonymous with progressive African style. Our motto is simple: "Afrique C'est Chic" - Africa is cool, fresh, fashionable.
