Песни создаются на основе ладовой мелодики старинных песен разных областей как России так и других стран. Наряду с авторскими, Анна исполняет и переосмысленные ею традиционные народные песни.
Помимо работы в различных музыкальных проектах, широкую известность Анна получила благодаря ролям в таких театральных проектах, как российская постановка мюзикла "Norte Dame de Paris" (Флер-де-Лис), рок опера "Иисус Христос - Суперзвезда" (Мария Магдалина), мюзикл "Вестсайдская история" (Мария).

Anna Pingina (aka Pingy) - singer, actress and song-writer. She works in a genre that is commonly referred to as World Music. Her music can be defined as a blend of ethnic music with elements of rock, jazz and Celtic music, and a subtle touch of electronics. Based on ancient musical traditions from across Russia and other countries, her songs combine ethnic routes with contemporary approach to music. Anna performs her own songs as well as renditions of traditional tunes. Regardless, however, its her melismatic voice that turns her music into magic. In addition to her career as independent artist, Anna Pingina also gained wide recognition as a musical theater performer with principal roles in some of the major theatrical works such as Fleur-de-Lys in russian cast "Notre Dame de Paris", Mary Magdalene in "Jesus Christ Superstar", Maria in "West Side Story". Besides her own project one of Anna's engagements is a joint project with "Minus Treli", an instrumental band from St. Petersburg.

Our new album "Herbarium" is
out now on CdBaby (MP3 so far, physical CD is on its way).
Diverse palette of styles (post-rock,
ambient, electronica, trip-hop, with elements of noise, dub,
neoclassic and free improvisation), united by cinematic, slightly
pensive mood.
«Herbarium» is called so
because of heterogeneity of «songs», which can be
compared to miscellaneous leaves in the album, still being belonged
to the family of trees. Trying to avoid non-alive metaphors here,
only thought of diversity and warm and innermost feeling that
herbarium is capable to conjure up. «... This leaf I picked up
in the park where I met her, and this - I sat by the river,
contemplating...». So tracks were created – one was captured
in some magic jam, another – recorded layer by layer and
meticulously mixed then, next – cut from previous sessions and so
on.
All compositions are united by Poostosh
sense of music – mostly pensive, spatial, tender and experimental.
There's a lot of soul and charisma in every leaf... So please let
your soul look over our HERBARIUM.
