About me:
AnnaSophia Robb is a spray, blond haired, blue-green eyed native of Colorado. Her film career started five years ago at the age of nine and she has since been credited with ten films and eight leading roles.
Robb can currently been seen in Disney’s Race to Witch Mountain with director Andy Fickman and co-star Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson. This high action adventure feature brought a 21st century spin to its origin films, the beloved 70’s Disney classics Escape to Witch Mountain and Return to Witch Mountain.
Last year, AnnaSophia was seen in Overture’s Sleepwalking with co-stars Charlize Theron, Nick Stahl, Dennis Hopper and Woody Harrelson. This drama follows the journey of a 12-year-old girl and her uncle, both seeking happiness in the aftermath of parental abandonment.
AnnaSophia was also seen in Regency and 20th Century Fox’s sci-fi adventure film, Jumper from director Doug Liman (Bourn Identity, Mr. and Mrs. Smith). She plays the young “Millie”, childhood sweetheart of the protagonist, a young boy who discovers he has the ability to teleport himself. Hayden Christensen, Samuel L. Jackson and Rachel Bilson star in this fast paced film.
Bridge To Terabithia, Disney and Walden Media’s adaptation of Katharine Paterson’s novel, directed by Gabo Csupo, opened in theaters February 2007. This film portraits the special relationship between two kids, AnnaSophia and Josh Hutcherson, who create an imaginary kingdom to help them deal with real life issues. In support of the film, AnnaSophia recorded the single, “Keep Your Mind Wide Open”, frequently played on the Disney Channel and featured on the sound track of Bridge to Terabithia . 2007 Critics Choice nominated AnnaSophia for “Best Young Actress in a Feature Film” for this role. She was also awarded “Best Leading Actress in a Feature Film” at the 2008 Young Artist Awards and a CAMIE award for this role. The CAMIE AWARDS is a not-for-profit organization that recognizes uplifting, inspirational films.
Warner Brothers’ super-natural thriller, The Reaping, opened March 2007. Robb co-starred opposite Hilary Swank; directed by Stephen Hopkins. Swank plays an embittered and faithless former missionary who spends her time debunking miracles, but when she investigates a small Louisiana town that is suffering from what appears to be a reoccurrence of the ten Biblical plagues she realizes science cannot explain what is happening. The presence of a mysterious girl in town (AnnaSophia), and her apparent link to the plagues, tests Swank’s faith and her ability to combat the dark forces threatening the community.
Have Dreams, Will Travel, which appeared at the 2007 Rome Film Festival, is an indie-drama by Brad Isaacs. This film is a bitter-sweet tale of two 12-year-olds who embark on a cross-country journey in search of discovering the true meaning of commitment. AnnaSophia stars opposite Cayden Boyd, with feature roles by Val Kilmer, Matthew Modine, Lara Flynn Boyle.
Other completed works by AnnaSophia include Tim Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, for Warner Brothers; AnnaSophia portrays the role of Violet Beauregarde starring opposite Johnny Depp. AnnaSophia’s first major film role was for 20th Century Fox Films; Because of Winn-Dixie, directed by Wayne Wang; she portraits the role of India Opal Bologna opposite Jeff Daniels. Doubting Thomas, directed by Mark Blutman, follows the story of a young boy with an overactive imagination and his best friend Jacky (AnnaSophia) who is constantly drawn into his antics. Samantha: An American Girl Holiday, a TV movie for The WB boasting some of the highest ratings for any movie broadcast in the network's 10-year history, was lead by AnnaSophia portraying Samantha. Other television credits include guest star appearances for Nickelodeon. Commercially, AnnaSophia has completed several radio voice-over spots and several national TV commercials.
AnnaSophia has zeal for living and a desire to make the world a better place. She loves dancing, animals, snowboarding, rafting, swimming and roller coasters. She has a cultivated fashion sense and a penchant for fun, enjoying and endearing herself to others. She cherishes the companionship of several close friends and her ten cousins; eight girls and two boys.
