A WORD ABOUT BRAND NEW CD RELEASE, "LOVE", FROM ANNA WOLFE:
WHICH CAN BE PURCHASED AT: MUDDYSUNSHINE.COM
Except for two cello tracks, "Love," is a completely solo record. I wanted to make an album that was as close to how I actually sound live without being an actual live recording, as possible. Because of this, I relied on heavy rehearsal of the material rather than editing. I wanted to make the record "the old fashioned way". Pre- splicing and dicing, auto-tune and compression. Thanks to the expertise of my co-producer, TJ Larkin, we were able to make a record that represents how I truly sound. I'm very happy with the authenticity of this album with barely any affects and very minimal editing. ----------------------------------------

This video is of me playing a song I wrote for Eva Ferrell at her first benefit concert. The pictures of the little girl on the screen behind me are pictures of Eva. She is a little girl with Cerebral Palsy who I try to support in any way that I can. I have declared myself her "Own Personal Folk Singer". Like most kids with Cerebral Palsy, her insurance does not cover her medical expenses, so her parents are forced to constantly raise funds for her treatments and therapies. For more information about Eva or how to help her, please visit www.littlemustardseed.org
Thank you!

Anna Wolfe was born on March 10th, 1972, the third of five children and raised on an Arabian horse farm out side of the two stop light town of Kirtland, Ohio. She spent a lot of time helping out with the horses and also escaping into the woods along the horse trails and galloping across the gas line on various gray geldings.
It was the woods that gave her music as she would literally imitate the song birds and it was her grandmother who first noticed her interest in singing and bought Anna her first instrument, an Appalachian lap dulcimer to accompany herself. She was eight by then and had already written her first couple of songs and performed in her first performances. She had always plunked away at the piano by ear any chance she got, and soon after she took her father's old, nylon string guitar to school to take guitar lessons.
With the guitar lessons came more knowledge that she could write songs and she wrote many throughout grade school and beyond. She didn't ever look back as far as songwriting was concerned and in high school she and her best friend and songwriting partner, Sydney Kalnay, won a creativity scholarship to make a full length, all original recording in a professional studio. Since then Anna has recorded five additional albums of her material including her latest Spring 2009 release, "Love".
In 2008 Anna was signed to the Muddy Sunshine label in Nashville, TN, the town in which she now calls home. "Love" is her first release on this new label.
Wolfe's music has been compared to such greats as Joni Mitchell, Laura Nero, Joan Baez, Annie Lennox and Kate Bush. "Love" fits into a genre that she calls "Folk-Classical." With Classically inspired piano and guitar and with vocals and lyrics that stem from roots folk, she performs with great poetry, grace and character, songs that are meant for souls of all ages.
Having fronted five bands, including her best Albuquerque band, "Anna Wolfe and the Hounds of Carlyle", Anna is currently booked as a solo act. Her new Album, "Love", is true to her solo, live performance. With fantasia, faith and authenticity, Anna Wolfe's compassion offers a true reality of grounding comfort. Her music is a gentle hand on the brow and loving arms for anyone who may need them.
