Founded in Detroit in the mid-1980s, Anne Be Davis (named after the actress who played Alice on "The Brady Bunch" television show) recorded and toured through the early 1990s. They often played alongside other Detroit area bands of the time, including Crossed Wire and Second Self, and opened for international acts such as the Violent Femmes. Their only CD, "Scouts Deposit", was produced by Al Sutton, who later engineered or produced albums by Kid Rock, Sheryl Crow, the Detroit Cobras, Hank Williams Jr. and many others.
