Anne Czichowsky studied jazz vocals at the Universities of Music in Stuttgart and Graz and graduated in 2007 with the top grade summa cum laude. During her studies and beyond, she participated in numerous workshops with e.g. The New York Voices, Jay Clayton, Bob Stoloff and many others.
Besides working as a jazz vocal teacher, she's performing nationally and abroad and has already collaborated with Önder Focan Trio, St. Petersburg Jazz Quartet, Lorenzo Petrocca, The Italian Allstars, Paul Schwarz, Günther Lenz, Herbert Joos, Bernd Konrad, Michael Kersting, Gee Hye Lee etc.
Anne Czichowsky has performed in the following countries:
Germany (of course :)), Turkey (“Nardis Jazzclub Istanbul”), Finland (Storyville Jazzclub Helsinki”), Romania (“Europafest Bucharest”), Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Lithuania, South East Asia (Laos, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia). In October 2009, she toured through Africa (Mozambique, Zimbabwe and South Africa) with "The Italian Allstars", numerous workshops and collaborations with e.g. the legendary Oliver Mtukudzi were also part of this tour.
Her current main projects are her quintet PLAYGROUND and her quintet JAZZPARTOUT,which is the winner of the Bucharest Int. Jazz Competition 2008. The first album RISE of JAZZPARTOUT was published in February 2009 on the German record label Neuklang.
Furthermore, Anne Czichowsky recently set up a new project called RE-BOP together with two great vocalists, Jennifer Rüth and Wolf-Dieter Rahn. This project contains transcriptions of the unforgettable vocal ensemble "Lambert, Hendricks & Ross".
In July 2008, Anne Czichowsky won the “INT. JAZZ SINGER CONTEST "LADY SUMMERTIME" in Kajaani, Finland, and was also voted “favourite singer of the audience”. In April 2009, she took 2nd place in the “INT. JAZZ VOICES CONTEST” in Lithuania and received a special award for “best free program”.

Hi Anne, habe mich nach Amstedam vorerst nach New York abgesetzt, wohne witzigerweise im selben Zimmer wo das Fräulein Trummer einst hauste.
