"unlike just about every other female singer around at the moment, there's no showboating, just pure melody" ian peel
classically trained, fearlessly inventive, anne garner was driven to become a singer-songwriter after performing an original piece at her mother's funeral. having honed her sound she is now preparing her first major album ‘trusting a twirled world’. these thought-provoking, emotive piano-based songs have been widely tipped to redefine contemporary classical/ folk lyricism and composition.
anne has worked with diverse artists including richard h kirk, the shamen, lol hammond, the orb, animat and the irresistible force. in recent years she has performed at the boom festival, five big chill festivals, london's county hall, the royal horticultural hall (london fashion week after show party ‘06), the spitz and the union chapel, where she curates the daylight music festival - the capital's ongoing showcase for new and emerging talent.
