My father´s accordion, my mum´s humming in the kitchen, the hoover. Always sang out loud when the hoover was on, as a kid. The church organ after mass. The nuns let me play on it, my father would also play but there was this one particular nun that used to hush me and ask me not to play so loud. It is really difficult not to be loud on a church organ! My big brother´s vinyl collection, esp. the BONG series. He introduced me to bands like Psychic TV, DAF, Joy Divison and Cabaret Voltaire when I was around 11 years old... I will never forget the first time I heard OMD´s "Souvenir" and started to cry.. Playing the bad Fairy in Sleeping Beaty in a musical at the age of 12 definately did something to me.. Fad Gadget´s song "Lady Shave": I performed a dance at the age of 14 for the whole school. We were eight dancers illustrating life & death and one girl behind a screen pretending to shave herself and then she would "cut herself" when the scream came at the end of the song... The teachers never looked at me the same way after that performance...hm.. falling in love as a teenager at a party and hearing The Cocetau Twins for the first time at that exact party.. Winter.. Snow..the Aurora lights...the Midnight Sun..The sounds from the synth Yamaha DX7 which I couldn´t afford but which Nils and Geir had and THAT`s partly why I joined Bel Canto.. to play on that synth! Meeting great musicians and singers all over the world. Meeting Diamanda Galas in Italy in 88 and warming up with her inside a chapell. Bel Canto was her support act. Meeting people and fans all over the world...my x-boyfriends vinyl collection, he is a dj and musician... I miss his records! People I love and care about.... Melancholy! DREAMS! Vivid dreams!
Sounds Like
... sometimes like the singer in the norwegian pop band Bel Canto

In 2000, I produced and released my 1st solo project 'Tundra' on EMI Norway. I was assisted by 2 incredible artists who helped co-produce a few of the tracks on Tundra: Simon Raymonde, of The Cocteau Twins, and Torbjorn Brundtland from Royksopp.
My Second Solo Album: 'Frolic' was released in March 2005. I was excited to have worked with legendary producer Gareth Jones on a few tracks. (Gareth Jones has produced for bands such as Depeche Mode, Erasure, Einstürzende Neubauten, Dead Or Alive, Gus Gus, & Garbage... just to name a few)
In 2002, I appeared on the album Melody A.M.
I am the vocalist on the track "Sparks" cowritten by myself and Röyksopp.
Recently I finished a European tour with Röyksopp (as their female vocalist) from October through December 2005
