Anne Marie, 17, has been delighting family, friends, congregations and audiences with her singing, dancing and acting since she was very young.
Since moving to Reno, Anne Marie has performed numerous solo concerts, acted with local theater companies, and sung with an all-girl pop group. She was awarded the prestigious 2008 Performing Artist Grant by the Sierra Arts Foundation. She's won many talent contests, including Teens In Tune 2007 & 2009, was a finalist in Reno Idol 2008, took second place in TMCC Idol 2008 and was invited to audition in New York City for NBC’s hit TV show, “America’s Got Talent.”
Anne Marie is the only high school student invited to be in the Truckee Meadows Community College's traveling Musical Theater Troupe. Recent theater roles include Juliet in “When Shakespeare’s Ladies Meet,” Nina in “Women and Wallace” and Greek chorus in Woody Allen’s “God.” She was recently cast in TMCC's Fall 2009 production of "Rent: The Musical" and will appear after that in the featured role of Mayzie LaBird in TMCC's production of "Seussical the Musical".
Recognized by many as Reno’s reigning national anthem queen, Anne Marie has sung for President Obama's last Reno campaign rally, Reno Celebrates America, Nevada Special Olympics, the Washoe County and Nevada State Democratic Conventions, Reno Aces, Reno Bighorns, Reno Roller Girls, Battle Born Derby Demons and the UNR football, basketball and baseball teams.
Anne Marie is among the most popular Northern Nevada musicians on MySpace, YouTube and other online music venues. She has been named Featured Artist by numerous online talent scouts and was recently named one of “20 Artists you MUST HEAR” by Talent Showcase Radio. Videos of her live performances receive high ratings.
While growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area she took dance lessons, sang at church and school, and developed her vocal and acting skills with the nationally acclaimed San Jose Children's Musical Theater. An honors student at TMCC High School and TMCC, she is an active participant in TMCC’s theater program.
Annie's dreams include a career in entertainment and lots more fun in musical theater! She is taking vocal and piano lessons, college acting classes, performing concerts and writing original music to develop her career.
