    M'Lady,

    ~LEAVES~


    A tree of loveliness
    what she is to me,
    its bark peeled back
    pages of a story I see.

    Leaves at the top
    support flowers abloom,
    branches reach out
    roots to assume.

    Her depths within
    caves to explore,
    volumes they speak
    yearning for more.

    This tree is a Woman
    her mind but one cave,
    sap is her blood, soul
    of heartwood I crave.

    Friend or a lover
    choices to feel,
    everlasting I see
    our friendship is real.

    My words my visions
    I used to hide secretly,
    now flow as in a stream
    pooled in my mind constantly.

    She's reality in life this tree
    her leaves an inspiration to me,
    to whom I'll compose an eternity
    the Muse of my heartfelt poetry.
