| General | Music, food, cooking *mmm.. -- as much as some may poo-poo this, I've been living on Pate and Creamed SPINACHE.. i know, yuk, right? Actually, YUM!!!!; the arts (studied graphic design and sculpture in college), dancing, wehn I am up to it! Meeting people, via busines or elsewhere.. the BEST part of working! | | Music | Janis, Jimmie, the old stand-by's.. right now, Jason Mraz.. Corrin Bailey- RAe (sp?) and Bob Marley, along with Ziggy.... This is what's in my old bm'er and I love putting it on in the car and really blasting it.. I do my seat-dancing while driving and make lots of people smile on the road! | | Movies | Farenhiet 911.. don't get a chance to see many movies but tend to lean toward the political or "artsy-fartsy" genre/ and, okay; finally saw sicko; everyone needs to see that one. | | Television | depends.. LOTS of PBS | | Books | so many different styles and differing authors, it's hard to choose one. My fave of ALL time is: Jayne Eyre, by Bronte.... | | Heroes | My mom and my dad.. after raising all of these kids, who else could it be? I raised merely 2 and found it challenging much of the time! Of course, there was one other hero/teacher to me..; my brother, Tommy, who died recently. He taught me a lot about art and about living and being kind to people. I aspire to be like him, absolutely loved. |

About me:
I was born and reared in Waterbury, Ct.. am the 13th of 17 children; most people believe I would be an ONLY child as I can behave like a spoiled brat.. however, this is far from the truth (the only child thing, not the spoiled-brat comments). I've made my life and lived it, essentially, as I wanted. I did move to Tex-ass at the tender and somewhat naive age of 17 to attend a few universities. I'm (now) 48; run a small business at home, and raised 2 kids. They're now 21 and 23. I don't know why, but I tend to call them semi-adults... other than the fact that they'll always be my kids! Cetrtainly they are quite adult-like in their actions. My life is pretty decent and I'm glad that I did such a great job in producing these wonderfully talented people for our world!
Business is usually just as busy as it needs to be. I enjoy my clients and tend to treat them in a family- manner (actually, better than my family treats me!); as I would like to be treated by small-business owners. To my detriment, at times, I utilise the small-business-owner, even when more expensive, as I subscribe to my town's slogan, "Keep Austin Weird", and you just can't do that at Wally-world or Target (no matter how you pronounce it!). Ha!

Who I'd like to meet:
Well, considering the fact that I've done emroidery work for LOADS of movies, I think it's time I finally met with Quentin Tarrantino and Robert Rodriguez. As it stands now, they only seem to know of me as, "that embroidery lady, Anne". Maybe I should change the business name to that, hmm? Mail and let me know if you think so!
