Anne Stott is a singer and songwriter who has been playing New York's music scene for the last six years in venues such as Kenny's Castaways, The C-Note, Rockwood Music Hall, and The Baggot Inn.
Her first ep, UNTITLED MIND, is equal parts folk and rock firmly rooted in her musical heritage yet completely her own all at once. UNTITLED MIND was described as having "tracks...that will get stuck in your head and leave you humming all day" (Girlfriends Magazine). Indie-Music.com says Anne "[lets] her voice shine through and speak for itself".
Anne brings her direct style to every song she writes and every show she plays, sharing her experience of love and loneliness with palpable authority. Weaving together originals, spirituals, and covers from the 1950's to the present, Anne's shows have an integrity and timelessness that guarantee a unique experience.
In the summer of 2008, Anne conducted her first international tour from Commercial Street in Provincetown, MA. She has since appeared in theater, worked in film, and shot two new videos with SOLOBOOM, the website for independent singer/songwriters.
