My best yet project consists of a heavy involvement in the new live to air unplugged and raw gigs with an unbridled concert feel where the audience can get to ask a q or 2 right here at our beloved station still in the organisational stage but hoping to have it all a go for next spring and summer at the latest with or without the stage and cover.
The mix desk has been purchased along with a stage snake complete (20 chanell) and some mics.
I'm now on the hunt for more mics, mike stands, leads, OB equiptment,PA equiptment, some flashy bits, a crippled Pantec to use for a permanent stage and some loveable carport/shed builders to cover in a huge section of our back yard (donations of end of job lot materials all welcome) that way we can do Sunday Night open to all ages live to air gigs throughout most of the year and the weather won't be as huge a hassle.
We figure that this could be one way of giving new bands a chance to be heard over the airwaves and hopefully a basic but ok copy of thier songs to put up online too.
