About Annie Dehaney-Steven

Annie is a jazz singer based on the borders of Essex and Hertfordshire.

Annie and Roma Thomas were joint winners of The Angela Carrington Award 2009. In August they are to share a gig at The Vortex in London. The Angela Carrington Awards are held in memory of Angela Carrington, a London jazz singer who took her own life in 2005 whilst suffering from clinical depression. The proceeds are donated to mentl health charities. br>
The recordings are from a live gig in January 2009. "A Thorn and two Roses" Annie got together with Becky McCracken and Rob Bush to arrange some Sunday lunchtime vocal jazz. They were accompanied by the Joe Stilgoe Trio and played to a packed house at the Elixir Bar on Eversholt Street, London.

Now performing under the name "Indigo Shades", Annie has a range of talented musicians to call upon. The line-up is flexible and can be tailored to suit any event, venue and budget.

Annie hosts the little bread BIG JAM jazz jam night, which used to be held at the Loaded Dog pub in Leytonstone High Road every Wednesday night. She is currently looking for a new venue.
