About me:

“You need three things in the theatre - the play, the actors and the audience - and each must give something." -Kenneth Haigh

"A play without an understanding audience is only half a play. So I am asking you all...to share the great project of making our theatre an exemplary one."

there's a village not far from you
    just shut your eye-lids tight
you were a young child the last time
    your nightmares came to life

    you've never been forgotten there
    just tap the village gate
a joyful voice fills every ear
"the girl has come back safe!"

the skies have made an island there
    day-trip the mountain peak
a handsome man, once your play-mate
you play still hide and seek

let dusk heavy the slate roof-top
    above where the stars shoot
    see-through lines ajoin dotted light
    one moon hangs absolute

there's home but not so far away
    you made each other up
when bad dreams come to life again
    just close your eye-lids shut

    UCF Conservatory Theatre Presents
    WEST SIDE STORY
    October 23-26, 30-November 2

Based loosely on Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, this timeless classic grapples with the street gang rivalry between the Jets and the Sharks. The stunning music by Leonard Bernstein is as unforgettable as the two young lovers, Tony and Maria, who embody the heart of this American tragedy.

    Jake's Women
UCF Conservatory Theatre starts its season this Thursday with Jake's Women by Neil Simon.

    Directed by Earl Weaver

Neil Simon, America's premier comic playwright, tells the story of Jake, a novelist who is more successful with fiction than with real life. Facing a crisis in his marriage, he daydreams about the women in his past and present, controlling their actions, their words and even their clothes. Each of the women offers advice, comfort, and frustration which is alternately funny and moving. Ultimately Jake must decide if he will continue to live in the past or if he is ready to deal with reality.
