ANNUNAKI
The road to Annunaki's inception is a long and storied one, with many
detours along the way. Beginning in late 2005, the trio of Kevin Kuzma,
John Blicharz, and Karl Odenwalder, sought an outlet for their
aggression. The band had a desire to transcend the restrictions of the
thrash metal genre. With influences ranging from the extreme death metal
and black metal fields, the band sought a vocalist who could make these
influences felt in their music. The band recruited vocalist Tony
Stanziano to achieve their desired sound, and Annunaki was born.
1. Annunaki - n - group of Sumerian deities who dwell on Earth and in
the underworld. Their name loosely translates to "those of royal blood,"
or "heaven and earth."
2. Annunaki - n - metal.
The only fitting phrase that can be used to describe the audio assault
that is unleashed from this Bayonne, New Jersey dwelling quartet is
"extreme metal". Annunaki's debut release, "Throne of the Annunaki",
proves this in every way possible. Recorded with Eric Kvortek at Trax
East Studios (God Forbid, Symphony X, Sinai Beach) and mastered at
West-West Side Music with Alan Douches (Suffocation, Cannibal Corpse,
Krisiun, Nile), the relentless aggression that the band conjured and
crafted is compiled and dispersed among thirteen tracks. A vicious
onslaught from start to finish, "Throne of the Annunaki" takes metal to
every extreme. Compromising nothing and ignoring the boundaries of the
metal subgenres, Annunaki extends beyond, delivering an intense
blackened death-thrash assault.
Since the completion of "Throne of the Annunaki", the band has unleashed
their live assault at various places on the map. Sharing a stage with
Deicide, opening for Carnivore, performing at the 2007 Milwaukee
Metalfest, and sharing the stage at the sold out BB King's club in New
York with the legendary Immortal, are just the beginning for Annunaki.

Hi! Just wanted to make sure all my friends know that my new erotic horror novel THE 13TH is now in stores everywhere! I hope you'll check out this debauched and demonic horror ride!
There's even a website devoted just to the book, with an interactive map of the places and characters at www.the13th-horror.com.
Edward Lee called THE 13TH "A double-barreled shotgun blast of macabre entertainment -- an expert amalgamation of grotesquerie, eroticism, mystery, and pitch-black occult horror that no fan of the genre can miss."
And Gary A. Braunbeck said, "John Everson's The 13th is the first out-and-out horror novel in a long while to actually scare the **** out of me while reading it. It's stylish, extremely well-written, filled with richly-drawn characterizations, and boasts a labyrinthine plot worthy of Umberto Eco. Trust me -- this one will fry your nerves and break your heart."
