Ann Winsborn is a 27 years old singer from Malmoe in the south of Sweden. At the age of six she started to write her own songs. As time went by it became more and more obvious that music was her life.
Ann got into a studio to record some of her self-penned songs and sent them to a couple of Swedish recordcompanies. After receiving a demo from Ann, the Swedish record company Lionheart Records fell in love with the mesmerizing voice and songs and called her straight away and offer her a deal which she signed.
Together with Robert Young (one of Sweden’s merited songwriters) she started what would become a modern dance project. Ann, Robert Young and Robert Olausson wrote the hitsingle "Everything I Do" in the summer of 2002. It was a fast climber on both radio and dancecharts through Europe and became one of the most played songs that summer. The track even reached Australia where local artist Rebekah K recorded her own cover of it.
Single number two and three, "Be The One" and "Je N’ai Pas Compris" also reached top positions on radio and dancecharts in Scandinavia.
Robert and Robert teamed up with one of our times most well known remixers, Emil Hellman (SoundFactory) to push the album to a even higher level.
The Scandinavian blonde Ann Winsborn’s spectacular voice together with a very strong personality makes Ann Winsborn a star of today and tomorrow. People often compares her with a young Agnetha Fältskog of ABBA fame and if you listen to the album, we are sure you’ll agree.
2004 the single “Je Nai Pas Compris” was released in Poland and entered number one on the the Polish Airchart within just a couple of weeks. It became the 14th most played song that year on the Polish airchart. Ann also did a massive promotiontour including interviews with MTV, Viva and Radio Eska. Her second single, “Everything I Do” has just been released and right now it..s at number four on the national air-chart.
2005 Ann released her new album "Pink-Collar-Crime" and the single "La la love on my mind" and "Fever".
Hi! I have been listening to your two albums on repeat for the past few weeks, and I really love them! (I got them completely randomly, one day while surfing- and I had no idea who you were but thought you seemed really cute and your CD covers reminded me of one of my favorite actresses, Kristen Bell, lol so I decided to give you a try..)
And so now I would like to buy both albums (Everything I Am and Pink Collar Crime) from one of my favorite stores (as well as recommend them to other ppl).. is there a reason they are not more widely available? (such as, at Amazon.com or places like Walmart, etc) Also I would love to have the official lyrics to all your songs, especially Play Boy Play, Smile So Pretty, and all the french songs too.. fingers crossed they get posted soon!
