Welcome to a humble, relatively new and generally overlooked genre of noise. This ambient space-rock musical project is nothing within range of being among today’s conformist vibes but rather takes on itself as an unrestrained contrast to the faded gray streets of mainstream life In its own consorting way.
Ambient music is an auditory dreamscape; a world that can change from mind to mind, the strings left open. Rock music rather straightforwardly presents the idea and takes to it, more or less, poetically. Ambient Rock is both and neither, so make of it what you will. There are no vocal lyrics here, rather the moods and ideas are expressed within the layers of the music itself and left open for a million different minds to interpret and mock at in their own little ways.
Solo artist Irfan Azam has taken on this zero-budget leisure-time project since 2004. The music is played completely spontaneous; nothing is ever written or drawn out. The tunes may be off, the rhythms often don’t match, the beat runs oftenly inconsistent, "and the stars look down." Enjoy!

ALBUMS
Trapped In Time EP
The second musical venture released under the Anomalous
Leaf banner is an EP composed of a few polished leftover tracks that
were taken from recording sessions of the unreleased anomalous albums
that were recorded during 2006-2008.
Released June 2009.
Embers of November
Drawing a strong influence from the ever rising global storm fronts, the
album chronicles evolution as it cycles from birth and innocence to
corruption and decay and back. Resonating with everything from powerful
ambient-driven dreamscapes of experimentally stellar harmonies and
beyond, Embers of November rests upon the peak of Anomalous'
evolutionary wave of existence to date.
Released February 2008.
All Needles Point North
After three years of cloudy experimentation and open doors, the full
ability of anomalous to produce lush soundscapes of ambient rock music
has been tapped, generating an epic universe of sound, whose trans-genre
spectrum of style ranges from ethereal hard-rock to breathtaking ambient
melodies, and everything in between.

Hello and thank you for requesting to add to my friend space. Welcome new friend!! I’m sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you, the last two months have been very busy ones, I was also in Japan for a while but am now slowly catching up on the myspace correspondence that accumulated recently. I have just finished listening to your music, many physical sensations in your sound and lots of visual imagery, very nice indeed! “Spring Embers” I love theliquid-sounding melody on the keyboard here. To me it sounds like dew falling off of leaves and plants in slow motion, early in the morning. For this reason, the crisp sounds that I am hearing are quite soothing and rather pretty. I particularly love the wind sound at the end of the track, this too is calming.“Strophe Celeste” This piece feels more like water flowing through a stream, deep in the the forest of a tropical jungle. Makes me want to drink the cool water, but I stop short of doing so wondering what sort of a bug I may catch in my haste. I like how the is the sensation of water at the beginning of this track when suddenly the sound of water actually comes in shortly afterward. “Moment of First Explosion” To me has the feel of becoming incredibly heavy, but I like how this does not happen. There is a hint of Joy Division’s “Closer” album, not that you are emulating their music, I think it is more the tone of the keyboard sound. The keyboard, by the way has an interesting way of driving the music, it seems to take on the functions of a bass here and is quite nice. (continued below)
(continued from above) “Campfire October” The title brings up some interesting memories for me here, not to mention the feeling of Autumn. This to me feels like the sensation of running through a forest of Birch trees and seemingly losing ones way through the madness of their similarity as a whole, it is almost as if the trees form a wall, or imaginary border that suggests for sign of finding a way out, great tension here!! “Eyes of Innocence” I love the choral, almost wind sound that start this track. Any sounds or instruments that remind me of wind are fine with me in my book. This has a chaotic heart to it and the physical sensation of rising high above the ground, not as though dreaming, but as though the ability to do so is a reality, that is, without the help of mechanical technology. Interesting flight here.“Advent Time” This has the feeling of transmitting secret messages over wartime airwaves. I can’t say exactly why I get this feeling from listening to this track, but I like that I get such unexplained visuals and sensations from music. The lead keyboard sound, as is the case in other tracks here, is almost that of a guitar, but I like the fact that it seems to emulate a guitar rather than being a guitar (unless I am totally mistaken and it really is a guitar). I would love to hear any thoughts or impressions you may have about my own music, as well. For now, I hope you are doing fine and I look forward to hearing from you. Talk to you soon, DAVE-
