Who I'd like to meet: The Characters of ANOTHER DAY
Another Day stars Jacquie Floyd as Jackie Lenoir. She lives in a very small town in Georgia named Redemption (fictional town, so put your atlas away). Redemption is many miles outside south Atlanta, but due to neighborhood sprawl, they are on the verge of being enveloped by the suburbs. In the face of the inevitable, Jackie is contacted by the accounts executive of a major commercial development chain and offered a buy-out package. Reluctantly, she accepts and closes her doors ... she presumes for the last time.
Since the hardware store was making minimal profit, Jackie has little money put aside and has to take a job as a waitress to make ends meet until she can get something going. Her plans are to take the check from the development company (United Development, though they are never actually named) so she can move farther away from the city and open a new store. Her friend, Aaron (played by Chris Gilbert), agrees to let her work as a Waitress in his bar until she is ready to move.
Though Jackie has worked in this store all her life (she inherited it from her father, Jack), she has never worked as a waitress. She soon discovers that it is not as easy as she hoped, but through the experience, Jackie discovers just how tough she really is.
Chris Gilbert plays the part of Aaron Comeaux. Aaron comes from Morgan City, Louisiana. His family moved to Redemption to raise their family, considering the port town too dangerous for children. Though he spent little time there, Aaron still considers Morgan City his home and dreams of returning there someday. Because they grew up together, Aaron thinks of Jackie as a little sister. Aaron is the type that will not step in unless he thinks Jackie is in over her head, but Jackie knows that Aaron is always there, looking over her shoulder.
Jordan Roche (played by Jeff Priskorn) is a journeyman carpenter who is living well off of the glut of construction in the area. Although Redemption is his hometown, he prefers to live closer to the big city. Jordan loves women, money, and women & money. No woman enters his area without him noticing, and those that know him know that he is far less successful than he likes to think he is. All the same, Jordan lives by the law of averages, being that the tenth of the nine out of ten makes it worth the other nine. Aaron greatly dislikes Jordan, though he knows that he is a good guy under-it-all.
Karen Worthington (played by Karen Drum) is an accounts executive for United Development. She is an aggressive sales executive who seldom handles actual sales herself. Instead, she researches the stores, areas they occupy, and average cost/returns ratios, then assigns them to representatives with approved buy-out offers. Karen seldom has to leave her office, so this particular situation is quite out-of-sorts for her. Unfortunately, the representative handling this case suddenly resigned. As it turns out, he was on the verge of closing a deal that was ready to sign on the very low margin of the buy-out offer. To close this deal would be a HUGE feather in Karen's cap, so she has traveled to Redemption to personally see it closed.
Karen knows that United is going to build their shopping center regardless of what Jackie does. Jackie fears that her store can never survive in the face of cooperate America. When it's all over and done, who wins?

Folks, if you want to take your country back, you first have to take your media back, because right now it's being controlled by those with more of a political agenda than a news agenda. The media is supposed to be the people's watchdog, not the GOP's lapdog.
And that's where we come in, and we're counting on your support as our friends. No matter which side of the political aisle you're on - and whether you like it or not - we're all in this together.
