I recently discovered that my grandmother spent time in one of these asylums (Powick in Worcestershire, now thankfully closed and converted to luxury apartments!).... knowing this fact makes asylum pictures all the more poignant for me. I would like to visit and photograph Severalls sometime in the near future, if I can get enough time away from the family that is!
cool...i usually have a look for old churches , graveyards etc, doing a band shoot soon in a graveyard, with a sacrefice table..will be night shots...liking your imagination, been anywhere near durham?
yeah, there is something not quite right with it....I know what you mean...but jesus, I'm amazed you managed to stay in that place for more than a split second. You deserve a medal. X
Oh, we were there last month too. We lived in the murderhouse across from the restaurant. We have take som EVP's too by night. It was very spooky by night. We visited some casernes too. Do you know the Löwen-Adler-Casern? There was a big prison. And we were in the caserne Hitler mein Führer, there was a big picture in a building on the ceiling. I can send you this pic, if you want.
Oh, I will take a look in your album. Please take a look in mine too. There are a lot of pics from lost places. I'm always surching for one. I have found a new forum, I think, that is interesting for you too. Here is the link: http://www.opacity.us/locations
Hi, just to let you know I've started to upload my new work that I've done over the last few weeks, check em" out! Hope to be visiting some new places soon, I'll keep you posted!
Good evening, I love your pics.l Were you ever been in Germany at the lost places there? My greatest wish is to visit the Waverly Hills Sanatorium one day.
Hello Mr EB. How are you? I really like that new set, there are some really interesting eerie shots in there. I like the Case Files one.. I find it morbidly facinating that these objects just get left in deserted asylums. Spooky, but I love it! xx
Ed, I've just been looking at your West Park Asylum photos. Why would there be childrens toys (or a cot for that matter?) in an asylum? That's quite spooky. Also, I liked the one of the envelope saying the patient was to be transferred to a different ward. xx
