Anthem Red formed in late 2004 from the tattered rags of Winnipeg hard pop trio Sixty Stories (Smallman Records, The Company with the Golden Arm). The new name is a literary reference to the former band, but some things are not worth letting go of entirely. Anthem Red remains a revolving door of musicians, contributing to the fluid sound of the group. Early recordings reminiscent of Jawbreaker were replaced by the refined influence of Thin Lizzy and Fleetwood Mac. What's next? Maybe Cat Power? Feist? A computer? Stay tuned for thrilling uncertainty.

Jo hogs the camera for the Much Does Winnipeg interview. WTF!
Hey ho. "Relief" has just been awarded my 33333rd song scrobbled to last.fm. Congratulations. And Jo, I just read on tcwtga.de that you are going to record some solo tunes. I say: Yay! Reserve a copy for me when it's done and then come back to Gemany for another tour. Enjoyed the last one. Well, in fact not the whole tour, but the show in Hannover. :)
