About me:
Just living while the living's good...
Loosen up, have some fun! Yes, sleep when you feel like it, not when you think you should. Eat food that is bad for you - at least once in a while. Have conversations with people whose clothes are not color coordinated. Make love in a hammock! Life is the ultimate experience, and you have to live it to write about it.
"Nine requisites for contented living:
Health enough to make work a pleasure.
Wealth enough to support your needs.
Strength to battle with difficulties and overcome them.
Grace enough to confess your sins and forsake them.
Patience enough to toil until some good is accomplished.
Charity enough to see some good in your neighbor.
Love enough to move you to be useful and helpful to others.
Faith enough to make real the things of God.
Hope enough to remove all anxious fears concerning the future." - Johann Von Goethe

E. Vill Doers rides are starting again, but it's gonna be a lot different.
Come by the store sometime! Pretty soon I'll be the only shop still standing.

In July of this year our dear friend Atip Ouypron was struck and killed by a motorist while riding his bicycle at the intersection of Park and University in North Park. In his memory a "'Ghost Bike Memorial" was resurrected. Hundreds of ghost bikes exist all over the world as a form of public art and a reminder to both motorists and cyclists to be cautious and respect the rules of the road. This was San Diego's first ghost bike and the community welcomed it with reverence and open arms. However, there were a few complaints forwarded to Hasan Yousef, Deputy Director of Street Divisions, about the bikes presence. We presented our case to the North Park Planning Committee and Subcommittee to keep the bike as a memorial and protect it as public art; the committee showed unanimous 13-0 support for the cause. What's incredibly dishonest is that Street Divisions removed the memorial bike a day earlier than they publicly stated that they would. In a written statement, Hasan Yousef, Deputy Director of Street Divisions, told the public that the bike and items will be removed on November 21, 2008. Instead, they were removed on November 20, 2008. With our tax dollars, Hasan Yousef has robbed the community of one last chance to say goodbye to our friend's memorial. Yousef stated that the public had until November 21, 2008 to prove the support for the bike. He ignored the hundreds of emails and phone calls that he received. The voices of hundered were silenced by the power of one.
THEY CANNOT IGNORE US ANY LONGER. Please be there to support this cause and make your voice heard. If they want to see public support, WE WILL SHOW THEM.
