Influences
Everyday life, Travelling to places i have not been before, everyday music for me.. Mic Christopher, Neil Young, Woody Guthrie, Sun Kil Moon, Ben Kweller, Jeff Buckley, The Byrds, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Imogin Heap, Ani di Franco, Dave Griffin (GRIFF)(Mr. Melt), Mark Griffin, Nick Drake, Dave Matthews Band, John Martyn, Elvis Costello, Paul Simon, Minus Circus to name but a few.
Influenced by a lot of American Folk, e.g Neil Young, Conor Oberst, Ryan Adams and the Cardinals, Emmylou Harris Also some Irish folk artists e.g Mark Geary, Curuso, John Murphy, Minus Circus and many more that i could mention.
Anthony started playing guitar at the age of 16 and been writing songs ever since then. he has plied his trade on the live scene in Ireland as well as Europe for a number of years playing with the likes of Mark Geary, Brendan O'Shea, Minus Circus. musicians from all backgrounds gravitated towards his sound which owes its existence to folk, Americana, roots and Irish traditional music amongst others, giving Anthony the chance to showcase the many facets of his song writing from hauntingly minimal ballads to a full on hoe down.
