My name is Anthony Hughes, I'm a singer/songwriter from Belfast. I've been touring solo with my acoustic around Ireland, France and England over the past year. I've pretty much been on the road for the past 10 years, travelling around Europe and the USA, playing my music, writing and meeting all sorts of musicians/bands from Irish folk to hard rockin' blues bands. It's been tough too, I've slept rough more than a few times, and I have had to do without a lot of the material luxuries we all take for granted. It has not been financially rewarding either, but I love it. It was never about money or success, it was always about the music. I would much rather improve as a musician/songwriter than "chase the dollar".
14/05/09 ; Ive featured two demos here while im recording the songs i wrote last year on the road,im playing bass,acoustic and lead guitars,i recorded the songs with paul o'hagan,who im indebted to for his time,advice and support,im still working with him to finish another three songs before i leave to tour denmark/sweden in july.Its been great fun,and i think paul captured the rawness,and,under produced, unpolished sound i wanted,hope you enjoy the songs,anthony
