changes from week to week; Nabokov, King, Wilde, Bukowski, Burgess, Kerouac - basically profound works, rather than mainstream fiction - something about humanity... or the lack of it.
Slowly getting through many of the literary classics; & anything ever uttered by Borat....
Heroes
John Lennon, Orson Welles, Ed Wood, Stanley Kubrick, Oscar Wilde.... (though most of these guys were also arrogant) & the many who struggle but never make it... I beleive that many of our greatest artists have been overlooked...

About me: I'm a Writer...
...i don't try to fight it anymore...
I've written five novels and working on the sixth.
In Order:
Borders of Bordavia
A fantasy tale for children 8-12. Monsters, evil alien Queens, insect armies, heaps of action and a whole lot of fun. (with potential for a series). Think Junior Lord of the Rings.
The Rim Riders
A near future action tale for Young Adults, dark, sci-fi elements, pertinent to teens, sexy, violent.. what else could you ask for?
Rim Terminus
The continuing story. Not a sequel. Returning characters and some new ones. Criss crossing Timelines and Character journeys as it counts down to the Final moments of the Rim and the shocking conclusion...
R.I.P. Rest In Prime
Don't respect Your Elders...
My first novel for adults. A bleak prophetic vision. An aging population has placed a burden on the Young. Enough is Enough. Controversial. In the style of A Clockwork Orange.
Ode to Dead Young Friends
A Memoir on four friends of mine whose time came far too early - a dedication to Youth, but it's not all pretty.
Tru Luv Kills
Some people just shouldn't be together. When two teens fall in love, the outcome is murder.
I have also written many stories, screenplays and novellas.
2009 is all about securing an agent and continuing to find publications for my short stories. Also meeting new people and learning as much as I can. More on my writing and other goodies at www.geocities.com/anthonyjlangford/Home
I've spent many years working in Television, (still do) and I've written and directed numerous short films, some of which have played in International Film Festivals.
I love meeting new people and hearing their stories. I'd love to hear yours. What is a writer without stories?
Who I'd like to meet: Futurekind - 200 years from now... If we haven't totally stuffed ourselves up by then....
And You, naturally...

I'm so horrid, to be telling you all about me and my problems and not asking, how goes it?
So, how goes it?
I hope well. And yes, the 90 percent thing is a pain in the "arse!" But, really, I don't know what to do anymore. When I have the thoughts, I'm tormented. I cannot extricate myself from them. No matter how I feed on my Meds, no matter what I do, that is "productive," it just stays. But, there is always that 10 percent to cherish; yes there is, indeed!
Hey A.J ,, Hows life on the eastside ? You settling back in to reality yet after Italia ?? Takes a while I know ,,, your pics are beautiful ,,, looks like you had a blast . I wont be travelling anywhere for a long while yet . Im househunting and its doing my friggin head in !!! Hope you have yourself a great weekend whatever your up to . Have fun and smile always Shell
Truth be told, I'm about to head to bed, and my sister is coming, so the weekend should be lovely.
I'm still trudging through the depression and "delusions/irrational" thoughts. My psych. was concerned when I told her about them today. She even upped my dose of Trilofan. Even so, I'll be OK. Yes, they torment me when I experience them, but when they're over, I can look back, and wonder why.
It's as if I dabble in dopple-ganging! LOL. Between the "mad" Lauren, who I'd say I embody 90 percent of the time, and for 10 percent, the "logical" Lauren.
I need to get up early and go on the treadmill, and get ready for Michelle (sister), so, I best be off. I think we're going shopping. If we are, I'm going to make her buy me something at a Betsey Johnson store (kidding, I wouldn't expect her to shovel out that much money)... but I would like to go there, just to look. HA HA HA!
She's lovely; you'd like her. She's been to Europe, too. Italy, France, Spain, England, Scotland, I believe Germany too.
