You're a very indie person, and admit it, you look down a little on people who strive to be normal.
You'll indulge in a little mainstream pop culture every now and then. But for you, anything not indie is a guilty pleasure!
If you don't have musical talent, you've got a talent for picking out great CD's.

Many guys find you intimidating, but a select few think you're the catch of a lifetime.

Thank you, Pauline, for introducing me to the interrobang.
Music
I could not live without music. Music can almost always put me in at least a little bit of a better mood.
I also really like singing. :)
I love so much music, and a list could not possibly describe it. If you make me a mix CD, I will pretty much always like love it. Music rocks my world. Sometimes I randomly quote song lyrics/titles, just so you know :D
With that said, I still don't love all music. I don't like rap, or hip-hop, and certain songs I just can't stand ^_^;;
Movies
Garden State, Kids in America, Juno, Charlie Bartlett, Across The Universe, The Ex, P.S. I Love You, But I'm a Cheerleader, Donny Darko, Dan in Real Life, Jesus Christ Superstar, Mel Brookes Movies, The Butterfly Effect, Pan's Labyrinth, The Laramie Project, Pay it Forward, 13 Going on 30, 10 Things I Hate About You, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Nightmare Before Christmas, RENT and The Corpse Bride, the list goes on.
Television
How I Met Your Mother, Scrubs, Star Trek (Vulcans rock!), Veronica Mars, The Whitest Kids U' Know, Freaks and Geeks, Arrested Development, The Simpsons, Futurama, Malcom in the Middle, About A Girl, and Dr. Who.
Books
I like books with a sense of humor ^_^
Which is soooo many... :D
I like reading.
I like books written from a boy's point of view, because they're more realistic. Books that are "written for girls" are generally very shallow.
I also really like puzzles and things I can solve with logic (hehe, I'm a Vulcan! Except, my emotions aren't repressed!)
Heroes
John Thomas Desch-Cooper, My friends (you're frickin' amazing, every last one of you!!!), Lawrence James Romero (my papa), Stephanie D'Abruzzo, Natalie Portman, Nicole Kidman, Idina Menzel, Cary Elwes, Johnny Depp, Michael J. Fox, (to be continued)
"Everything we do is a choice. Oatmeal or cereal, highway or side streets, kiss her or keep her, we make choices and we live with the consequences. If someone gets hurt along the way we ask for forgivingness, it's the best anyone can do." -Pushing Daisies
I really like retro things, (er, well, 90's and 80's) and things from Japan and Great Britain. I also really like the French language. Je parle Français. Vous? (Not well, mind you...) Yes, I am a nerd. Got a problem with that? :P
I am a drama kid. I am female. I have brown hair and glasses (my dad won't get me contacts (yet) but I would only use them for plays anyways...) and hazel eyes. I'm 5'6" and I weigh around 135 pounds (on average). I'm 15 and a Sophomore in High School [XI!!]. I am completely bonkers out of my head in love with my boyfriend, John Thomas Cooper-Desch. I swear, someday I'm going to marry that boy :)
I love being in love. It's the best feeling ever.
But fighting is kind of the worst feeling ever, but I love how John always ends up comforting me. :)
I really enjoy slam poetry. I'm a 36D cup bra (In case you needed to know.)
I am very passionate. About everything. Acting, drawing, Slamming (Poetry), my beliefs, people, love. Above all things love. I love a lot of things. Music, the things I'm passionate about, my friends.
If I were an animal, I would be a fox.
Also, I really like hugs. Real hugs. And John-kisses. ^_^
Oh, and I have some pretty friggin' amazing friends. (JAWHN, NudeMina, Noodly, Meloosa, DAN, and Lizzle Fo'shizzle, to name a few.)
Hmm... what else? I'm really quite straight-edge. I hate drugs in general, and smokers piss me off. Also, I feel weird in revealing clothes... And I'm a massive dork. I like tons of things you've either never heard of or think are really dorky. My guilty pleasures: 1990s pop music, romantic comedies, bad teen movies (i.e. Accepted, Not Another Teen Movie, Can't Hardly Wait, Eurotrip, etc.) and Canada.
THAT'S ALL FOR NOW! Message me with: your version, questions about myself, things I should see, etc.
NOW ON TO THE AMAZINGNESS THAT IS THE REST OF MY PROFILE FOR YOU!!!
Go.
ohhhmyyyygoodnesssss sorry i took so long to respond! it's been crazy. i moved in a week ago. so that's where i am!
it has nothing to do with decorations, really. the themes all have to do with...well, sometimes they integrate it into your classes and the floor goes out and does something together based on that theme (i.e., volunteering on the social justice floor). i'm not on a theme floor, but we're still going to do stuff together.
seriously, i am loving dorm life here. all the discomforts of sharing a bathroom and size and whatnot really haven't hit my mind.
but best of hopes with the whole college thing. but high school is a big deal too. i write for/run a few college/admissions blogs and i just love talking about this stuff, so if you ever need help, i'm yours. and i would also recommend you sign up at zinch. com and explore there.
so how are things going? your first choir concert is coming up really soon right?
I do only have one roommate. My friend, though, has two, temporarily. Some people have three but their rooms are way larger. My roommate seems cool though. I think it'll be all right.
Actually, I'm excited about it. It'll be small quarters I guess, but I honestly think dorm life will be a valuable and enjoyable experience. And it's often cheaper. And the schedule of payment is less stressful. Anyways, I'm looking forward to living on campus. My particular residence hall is pretty central to all the buildings I need, too, which is a plus. At many schools, some of the different res halls and floors have themes. For instance, at SU, one of the buildings is the international-themed residence, and one floor is the Japanese floor, one French, one African studies, one general international stuff, etc. so it becomes an immersive experience in which you get to learn culture and language beyond the classroom. Many of the international students stay there too. Some of the other halls have themes of leadership, social justice, health/wellness, environmental awareness, etc and so you get together with people from your hall to explore those concepts and do activities related to it beyond the classroom--or even in conjunction with some of your classes. It's an experience in community I guess, whether or not you're living on a theme floor.
Anyways [/ramble], what schools and majors and such are you looking at then?
well best of hopes with choir. first performance, less than a month from today. exciting! you'll have to tell me how it goes!
I've never moved into a new house. Well, technically when I was two years old, but you know. I'm not big into decorating, but for the first time in my life I've color coordinated my room stuff, haha. I'm just really excited as a whole. Like I know I'll miss my family and Denver and everything a LOT, but I like change. I like exploring places. And I want to meet more people.
And yeah, the dorm is definitely small. I only vaguely remember, but it's probably the size of 2 bedrooms at SEP. Not the whole dorm room, just the bedroom part. That includes a sink, two wardrobes, two beds, two desks. I'm sure it'll be fine though.
Choir sounds good! Wonderful. So are those eight songs for throughout the entire or, like, the semester? When is your first performance?
College actually...I apparently start, like, a month after everyone else. Classes start the 24th of this month, I fly out a week before then, and the Saturday in between I officially move in to my dorm. So I'm just living up the last few days I guess...
Ahaha, I knew you would love "Dragon Wizard Rockstar Poet." That was THE song I was counting on on that mix. haha. Anyways, I'm glad you dig. And he's a pretty nice guy and keeps in touch pretty well with his fans on myspace, so I suggest you give him a shout yourself, if you haven't already. : )
hey evrybody!!! I love this girl!! she's wonderful, and sweet, and perfect for me!!! I don't deserve her, but She disagrees. That makes me SOOOOOO!!!! HAPPY!!!!! I love you anna!!
I love you miss. Anna i will miss you while we are away from oneanother. but when we are back from our respective trips, i will give you the biggest hug you have ever had. i love you sooo much. i love you more than pens, and chocolate! (and pens made of chocolate) you are the best, you are perfect for me, and i'll love you forever. !!!!!!!!
1.) Yes. Very much so. 2.) I love all things Google, I think. 3.) You're welcome! 4.) ME TOO! 5.) Oh man! It sucks that you have the ones on the 23rd so separate from the others! What subject(s) do you have then? Well best of hopes. Tell me how it all goes. 6.) You have, but that's still quite charming. 7.) I think most people feel that way. It's a bit embarrassing in the moment, but you know everyone is well-intentioned and who doesn't like to feel loved? Everyone likes attention, at least a little bit. I wouldn't be surprised if you were part of "everyone." Also, you have briefly mentioned him, and I have read of him, but not much.
You have the greatest birthday ever. You know why? You know what happened today? GAY MARRIAGE IS LEGAL IN CALIFORNIA NOW!!! This is awesome! Also it is Las Vegas's birthday.
