"The world tells us beautiful things are loved. I like to think loved things are beautiful." -John Cotter
My DeviantArt.

I really like retro things, (er, well, 90's and 80's... which isn't really that retro) and things from Japan and Great Britain. I also really like the French language. Je parle Français. Parle vous Français? Yes, I am a nerd. You got a problem with that? >:P
I am a drama kid for life. I am female. I have brown hair, glasses and hazel eyes. I'm 5'5" and I weigh 153 pounds. I'm 16 and a Junior in High School [XI!!]. I am completely bonkers out of my head in love with my boyfriend, John Thomas Cooper-Desch. I swear, someday I'm going to marry that boy :)
I love being in love. It's the best feeling ever.
I really enjoy slamming and writing poetry. I'm a 38D cup bra (In case you needed to know.)
I am very passionate. About everything. Acting, drawing, writing poetry, my beliefs, people, love. Above all things love. I love a lot of things. Music, the things I'm passionate about, my friends.
If I were an animal, I would be a fox.

Also, I really like hugs. Real hugs. And John-kisses. ^_^
Oh, and I have some pretty friggin' amazing friends.
Hmm... what else? I'm really quite straight-edge. I hate drugs in general, and smokers piss me off. Also, I feel weird in revealing clothes... And I'm a massive dork. I like tons of things you've either never heard of or think are really dorky. My guilty pleasures: 1990s pop music, romantic comedies, romance novels, bad teen movies (i.e. Accepted, Not Another Teen Movie, Can't Hardly Wait, Eurotrip, etc.) and Canada.
THAT'S ALL FOR NOW!
Message me with: your version, questions about myself, things I should see, etc.
NOW ON TO THE AMAZINGNESS THAT IS THE REST OF MY PROFILE FOR YOU!!!
Go.
Shoo!

it has nothing to do with decorations, really. the themes all have to do with...well, sometimes they integrate it into your classes and the floor goes out and does something together based on that theme (i.e., volunteering on the social justice floor). i'm not on a theme floor, but we're still going to do stuff together.
seriously, i am loving dorm life here. all the discomforts of sharing a bathroom and size and whatnot really haven't hit my mind.
but best of hopes with the whole college thing. but high school is a big deal too. i write for/run a few college/admissions blogs and i just love talking about this stuff, so if you ever need help, i'm yours. and i would also recommend you sign up at zinch. com and explore there.
so how are things going? your first choir concert is coming up really soon right?

Actually, I'm excited about it. It'll be small quarters I guess, but I honestly think dorm life will be a valuable and enjoyable experience. And it's often cheaper. And the schedule of payment is less stressful. Anyways, I'm looking forward to living on campus. My particular residence hall is pretty central to all the buildings I need, too, which is a plus. At many schools, some of the different res halls and floors have themes. For instance, at SU, one of the buildings is the international-themed residence, and one floor is the Japanese floor, one French, one African studies, one general international stuff, etc. so it becomes an immersive experience in which you get to learn culture and language beyond the classroom. Many of the international students stay there too. Some of the other halls have themes of leadership, social justice, health/wellness, environmental awareness, etc and so you get together with people from your hall to explore those concepts and do activities related to it beyond the classroom--or even in conjunction with some of your classes. It's an experience in community I guess, whether or not you're living on a theme floor.
Anyways [/ramble], what schools and majors and such are you looking at then?

well best of hopes with choir. first performance, less than a month from today. exciting! you'll have to tell me how it goes!
I've never moved into a new house. Well, technically when I was two years old, but you know. I'm not big into decorating, but for the first time in my life I've color coordinated my room stuff, haha. I'm just really excited as a whole. Like I know I'll miss my family and Denver and everything a LOT, but I like change. I like exploring places. And I want to meet more people.
And yeah, the dorm is definitely small. I only vaguely remember, but it's probably the size of 2 bedrooms at SEP. Not the whole dorm room, just the bedroom part. That includes a sink, two wardrobes, two beds, two desks. I'm sure it'll be fine though.

College actually...I apparently start, like, a month after everyone else. Classes start the 24th of this month, I fly out a week before then, and the Saturday in between I officially move in to my dorm. So I'm just living up the last few days I guess...
